In that spreadsheet you can edit the max setting on both channels on the spreadsheet below the timetable

Be cautious though. Mine are at 60 white 65 blues and I get par of 200 at the bottom of a standard 75 with 2 lumentek 180s hung 11 inches off the tank. This is unadjusted straight from the apogee meter. Adjusted is 10-20% higher

Which I just realized I posted a few days ago, almost the exact same info. Doh!!!

Wow - thanks for pointing that out!

Assuming you are using the Pro 240 as well - 200 at the bottom seems just right from what I've read. My tank is 3 inches deeper than a standard 75g, so I'd imagine I may lose a little bit of PAR there but not a ton.

That Blue/White balance seems quite a bit closer to equal than what the formula defaults to - just personal preference?

Nope. I have 2 180s for full coverage all across the tank.

I don't know who created that spreadsheet, but yeah, they do run the blues quite high. I'm not a huge fan with overly blue tanks. I like a crisp white light for at least during the mid day part of the schedule. The corals like it too, I think

Yeah - turned on the default 'cloudy' mode last night and was scratching my head - way too much blue. I'll try doing your 60/65 and see how it goes. Thanks !

I use a 12 hour cycle, brightness adjusted every 10 minutes. My lights go from 09:00 AM to 9:00 PM. After 9:00 PM my moonlights are on till 12:00, with intensity decreasing. At 12:00 AM the tank is dark until 9:00 AM (except for ambient daylight coming through the window in the room).

My corals (I only have 3 so far) seem to like it. My fish like the dark time to catch some zzz's. When the light comes on the fish spring to life.

Just think about it, in the ocean, there are some very dark nights when there is no moon, so having a totally dark tank for a few hours is fine.

Well today I programmed the 10min 10hr schedule, how tedious was that?!! But it's done

I then programmed the Lunars to start when channels 1&2 go off. Starting at 40% and ramping down to go off at 9pm. So I'd say it's dark from 11pm till 7am.

saying that the 10 min 10 hr schedule is tedious is the nice way of putting it, i had a few other colorful phrases i used while performing that task, if anyone knows right off hand,if you lose power do you lose your programmed times. i would sure hate to do that all over again

The program remains even after a power failure.

I was being nice....let's just say it was a good thing I was the only one up at 6:30 this morning while I was programming...I had to tell myself to shut up!!

After waking up to see the fishies swimming in the moonlight at 6am, I think I'm going to take your lead and keep the moonlights off until 'sunrise' at 9am. Those poor buggers are probably going through a world of what the heck right now

It is pretty **** cool though seeing it all phase in/out gradually. For the amount of time/money we spend on these things, I think it's time well worth it in the long run!

Also light works well but does not automatically come on in the morning until I flip thru the settings. I need help!!

Make sure your choosing Custom settings. Do you have the battery in correctly?

I have bought a new battery. Put it in right side up upside down etc. Also I fixed my problem. The light will not automatically come on at 8am. I played w the settings and found that I have to make the moons come on at 7am? N it works. I guess it just doesn't like 8am for the moons to come on

Hi everyone,

sorry if i have not been on the forums as often recently. I bought a battery powered skateboard - thing is awesome - and then took a header and blew out my knee. Just got done with the first surgery - and am moving really slow. I can't wait to get back on the thing - it is really cool - i will send pictures of it later.

That said ..... As you know we are rolling out some very cool new toys recently and have no plans on slowing down. Since all of these toys ultimately end up in the hands of you guys - or other hobbyists - i want a couple of you to become reef radiance product review specialists. Long name for someone who checks out our products before we finally release them to the public. As you know - we check out everyhing here very carefully - but i want hobbyists to make sure everything work to their satisfaction before it goes out for sale. This would mean receiving the product - using it as intended and informing us on the good and bad things you find. And then this person or persons would write an hobbyist-friendly instruction sheet with pictures and diagrams as needed. And then they would write and post a positive review ( if they could not write a positive review - then the product would not be ready for sale and we will correct whatever would be stopping them from writing a positive review). Each person who does this would get either a $50 gift certificate for each product tested or a significant discount on the product they are testing should they want it. This would be decided on a product-by-product basis. It would be cool if the person was a diy kind of person and/or had some understanding of electronics. So - if this sounds like you and you would like to play with the newest toys - pm me.
