So ready and excited for my Lumentek 240 to come for my 55g. Small tank but it is my first! Any ideas on hanging this light? I have a dropped ceiling. If not I would welcome any ideas for a DIY project for it!!! Will be doing a video review when I get it all settled in!

Mine are Evergrow 2040s, but they hang from a 2x2 in my canopy. I used the wires that came with them.

I spoke with Rick last night and bought the 240 for my 75g mixed reef. Can't wait to get it !
He even included a Christmas gift. !

Thank you Santa Rick !!!

So you ended up getting it...You will be very pleased...

congrats on an awesome purchase Kevin...looking forward to pics :)

It will be a while for photo's, as being in the wall tank, I need to get to work measuring the wall for both the flat screen TV and the tank. Then design the sump and redoing the fish room, as money slowly comes in to play. A lot of work, but fun work !

My light should be with Rick now waiting for him to test it and get it sent out after the Holiday slows down. I got the UPS notice that it was delivered to Rick's shop so it shouldn't be too much longer before I have it. I have to say, it has been a pleasure doing business with Rick and Tara has always answered any email question I have had. I will no doubt be doing some more business with them.

Thanks for everything Rick and Tara,

Bradley Bice

I looked on reefradiance.com, and through this thread, but didnt see PAR ratings for any of the lights? Has anyone tested the output? Looking specifically at the Lumentek Pro 180/240 models

Looks like my light will be here on Monday. It is only 20 minutes from my house at a warehouse, but they are closed on weekends so I have to wait for FedEx to deliver it Monday. Can't wait for it to get here!

Finally got my canopy done and got my 2 dm-155s installed, any suggestions what I should set them at for a breakin period?

I finely got mu lights installed.. It was a challenge with my homemade add on top to my canopy. For the most part I like the lights. It always hard to get use to new lighting looks and shadows in a tank. I had 2 Kessil 150's in my 75 up until today. I miss the shimmer already. The blues do my my corals pop I will say that. After I run them for a week or two I'll report back. As of today I'm giving them 4 starts that might change as I get more use to the lights.

On a side nor was anyone else adjustment nobs bent slightly? Or maybe not bent but sit sitting straight?

Hi dscaquarium,

Not sure what you mean by slanted? Every dimmer switch is checked before they go out so - I am not sure what you are referencing? As opposed to explaining it to me - could you send me a picture? These knobs are held in place to the potentiometer knob by a small screw and occasionally they will get bumped and come loose or off-kilter. If that is what you are describing - just loosen the screw and remount the plastic knob on the metal knob and tighten it and it will be perfect.

I know what they're talking about and it's purely aesthetic, but I think one or two of mine are also... it doesn't bother me because it works and it's in a canopy.
