You know i really want to say - i really enjoy talking to the customers on this post - especially you regulars. It is unusual that a distributor has the opportunity to communicate one on one with his customers - at least not this directly. I think it gives me a huge business advantage over the other companies that sell lights - yes - there are others )-: Lol - as they dont get this type of direct and immediate response to products and ideas at all. Plus i really enjoy the contests - i like giving cool stuff to cool people......

Hi Floyd,

They shipped on the 30th as promised and we expect them here late this week - assuming UPS is on their game - and after a day of checking them out- they will go right out to you.

I do not know if the 180 can be made apex compatible but, if so and you need another rat I am a certified technician solder is a daily occurrence

omg 82 pages of rick sanding up for the products he sells with a passion for customer service not found these day. maybe i have no life but i read every page just to see mr. rick let people know the how comes and the what forses. I'm sold I've been searching for a light to hang off my 18g nano. I'm sold! rick what do you have for a guy with a 14x14x20tall that will clamp on to 3/16 glass?

i dont think anything to clamp on but maybe place on top for that size tank. you want a 16" photon also what are you growing?

I looked at the nano 60. The description said for a 12" tank. If I hung the light a little higher it should be fine right? Or do we need to change the angle of the lenses?

Just wanna share some pics of my corals under the Pro 180 after 5wks. All had been kept under T5HO for 3yrs.
To say I'm pleased with RR is putting it mildly.

I should be getting delivery on my Lumentek 240 soon. I'm running LEDs now but they are more suited for LPS and softies, all my SPS are just below the water line about -12 inches from the LEDs, plan on using the Sunrise Sunset program frequently referred to on this thread with peak 50% blues and 30% whites. Would this be too high to start with or should I start with a lower intensity? Any opinions or experience with this type situation. Input appreciated

Hello, I am in the process of getting everything together for a 90 gallon reef tank. It would be sps heavy but will also contain lps and clams on the sand bed. The tank is just over 25 inches deep, top to bottom, and I am wondering which light you would suggest. I am also looking at the ecotech radions but I am not really excited about the price. I will not be using a canopy if that matters. Thank you and I am looking forward to your reply!

I would/am using the 8hr/30min schedule to start. Less is more when acclimating corals to much stronger LED's. Running this schedule has allowed me to see that my corals are doing great and I can now increase the intensity a bit.
