REEF TANGS! How many tangs do you have in your reef?

That’s not cheap! NYAquatic has them for less than $500

I ran into an issue where my float valve got buildup of some kind in it. I had to unhook the line and blow into the hose, manually moving the float valve up and down every few weeks.

I didn't quite get what was buildup in the float valve? did you mean salt ? Ill have to check my whole ATO system to see what is going on because I use to have to fill the tank every 2-3 days but now it barely moves a few inches. Something is definitely off ill take the whole system apart and give it a nice vinegary bath lol

Try lifting the float valve, and blowing into the ATO hose. See if anything comes out. Mine had like salt creep or something build up.

Have you ever run into any issues with your ATO sytem in your 525xl ? I don't think my ATO is functioning properly and I am not sure why . .

I disconnected the tube and its dripping water so its leaving the ATO fine . I checked my bob lever it seems to be functioning fine so I am kind of lost why its not getting the water into my tank. My salinity was up to 1.030 the other day and my levels have been all wonky for a few weeks. its getting frustrating

No but I never used the ATO container from RedSea. I have a mixing station in a separate room and my Neptune ATK handles my top off.

I would definitely get a new ATO either Neptune or Tunze... Way more reliable

Thanks! I’ve had it for about 7 months. The growth rate of this individual has been something else, can’t remember that being the case with the previous one I had a long while back.

I have 14 tangs... 5 yellows, 4 hippos, 2 naso, 1 purple, 1 sail fin, and 1 tomini... since I’m in the process of moving to a new house and resetting up my 6’x5’ 500g tank, I’m not sure if I’ll be changing the stock list a little.
