refugium / cheato flow rate

So I need some feedback as to how much water I want running through a 10 gallon refugium with cheato. Debating on maybe a small power head to kinda get more flow I. The water.

3-6 times your DT volume. Your choice, and the powerhead in there would be ideal also.

As you can see I custom built a three piece sump to go into my stand as big as I could so it would fit through the door opening. I'm reading all sorts of different things on how much water to divert into the fuge area. 25% of the return water seems to be about what's making sense to me. I'm reading all sorts of threads on cheato and refugiums. Some say you want low flow in the fuge some say higher flow. Basically I need some opinions to go off. I was thinking small power head to roll the cheato in there a bit. So throw so ideas at me here.

Chaeto needs to have some good flow through it. I used a powerhead on mine, it supposed to tumble, but that high of flow isn't needed.

Pretty much what I've come up with after reading for a couple hours last night. Is low flow from tank. Small power head in fuge to get some water through the cheato rolling it would be optimal. Thanks for your input also RM.

So another idea I had was splitting that fuge with a angled frag rack. I got maxspect nano light cheap I was gonna install down there. Idk about a frag rack in my fuge though. What's people think on that idea?

Actually skip that. Putting a frag rack in with the cesspool is just dumb. I'll just try maybe growing some fish food in the extra space.

Yea, I'd not put a frag rack in the sump, if anything it should go in the DT.

Yea, the chaeto will work. If its given as treats they will destroy it when you give it to them.

Oh sweet. Didn't think cheato was food at all. Figured I would have to try calpura or something.

Caulerpa is another. My tangs go crazy when I throw any macro algae in there, its a treat for them, they don' tget it all the time, so clean it out really fast.
