refugium / cheato flow rate

Am I missing any other companies I might wanna check out? Those two companies seem to be what people are talking about on here.

I should probably rename this thread to the big debate of what I'm gonna do with everything in my tank lol.

So here's some pictures since I'm talking about all this crap incessantly. Lol. As you can see I need a ton more rock and my lighting is sad still. Really could use some more cuc also I think. Pretty much just have 2 pepermint shrimp and a bunch of blue legs. Had some turbos but they kept falling and dying.

Btw pls don't hold back on comments if you see something you think I'm doing wrong even if it makes me look dumb pls tell me.

I'm just worried they may not hit the bottom of my deep tank for my future coral experiments. Lol. I don't wanna have to upgrade again.

Oh dont worry bout that, itll reach, they are very strong lights.

Maxspect is saying 2 of the 20" 120w. Idk. I'm leaning t words the reefradiance right now because of the color leds. Not just white and blue.

I still like the maxspect based on the look of them, and cooling. There saying I should use 2 of there 120w units for my tank. Cree leds in them also. But they don't have colors in them. Just white blue and actinic. Does it matter? These other two have other colors in there. Ugh. Probably 300 bucks cheaper on my wallet also.

Does the couple of color LEDs matter, not really. They do give a lil different look than just the white and blues, but you really can't see it, gotta look close.

They say the extra colours are good for bringing out rich reds, purples and oranges in coral. I find it hard to believe 1 red and 1 green LED is gona have much effect though. I personally would go the cheaper route. Simply because you can use the money you save on something else :)

reef madness you seem to be the authority around here lol. What yah think about the reef angel controllers?

Looks like a great unit to me. I'd use it. Not much that it doesn't do for ya.

Probably way more than I need. Lol. I just like that I can do almost everything with it. All the extras are expensive but I can buy pieces as I go without dropping a grand in a day.

Yup, you got that right, add on as needed. Good to have it all the controllability up front.

Yah I don't want 10 different controls. Controls jabeo pumps. Which I have. Also there's a ato pump and 2 stage dosing pump that they sell so no headaches. What's another 500 bucks right! Lol.

Cloudy cause I cleaned it today and did a water change but figured I would throw a pre sweet *** light picture up to show where it was.
