"Dry" fitting the tank to make sure the measurements were good! It fit like a glove!

Wow that room really is that tall!!!! I thought it was an illusion from the angle the first picture was taken! You have some real possibilities for vertical options. Have you thought about stacking you RODI water reservoirs and putting your fresh on the top? You could then gravity feed for your ATO with a solenoid and float backup. Just a thought.

Surge device maybe?

Good luck! I'll be watching this closely... It might get creepy ;) Hehe

Seriously though, if you were closer I would be there helping you build it out.

I enjoy setting up aquariums way too much, at least that is what my wife tells me :D

I'll get some more photos tomorrow.

For power I went with 5 circuits all with one GFCI.
2 circuits for 2 sets of tankroom lights. (overkill yes)
3 other circuits for each side of the wall.

The tank room itself is 10ft on the inside. I wanted it tall so I could really get in and around the tank!

Are you going to black out the side of the tank so you can't see into your fish room?

I am not sure what to do to be honest. Any thoughts on this?

I could paint the side or I could have something made to fit and cover it if I wanted to look down each end.

My 5x3x2 is mounted in wall and I have the back and 1 side blacked out where most of he equipment is. I left one side open just for that reason. To be able to look down the tank.

I've always liked how painted glass looks but in this case I think something that's removable would be good, maybe you could have your QT tanks or a fuge be viewable from the side/sides giving a deeper dimension illusion.

Also the sheet rock isn't cut perfect for the tank hole if you can't tell! HA!

Really looking good David. You're going to have an awesome tank!

It's going to be an awesome display, one of my favorite parts is the demo., set-up, and design. The rest just a "bonus" for me
