I couldn't do that to my friends.

This is beyond fragging and selling. I'd have to remove every rock and chip them completely clean and they'd still come back. You can't isolate them either. They are brooders that release free swimming larvae. I have them in my sump.

LOL how easily they can take over how long ago did you introduce them in the tank ?

It was a small rock I added 3 years ago. They can kill sps, lps and zoas I know for a fact.

Wow amazing progress on those blue polyps...i've never seen anything that could so specifically kill a single species of coral like that.

How good does it feel to see your rock again??

I couldn't stand to wait another day so I went ahead and turned the skimmer back on, did a 20 gallon water change and added some fresh carbon. The tank was cloudy and the polyps appeared to be on the brink. My zoas looks like they where run through the mill from being buried in blue polyps for so long but you can see them starting to orient and look normal again. This morning before the lights were on the polyps looked like blue dust on the rocks. I'm hoping they are almost all gone by the time I get home from work and I'll update again then.

Whoo Hooo! The polyps are almost completely gone. The ones that are left are easily blown off the rocks.

My red planet colony looks bad and so does another unknown name sps frag but if that's all I lose I'll gladly take that in trade. I'm thinking another large water change today or tomorrow and letting everything settle from there for a while. I'm on the road to freedom from these polyps at least.

I'm hitting the frag tank next which will be a totally different experience since it has leathers and anemones.

Not sure. I suspect a nipper. It's been opened and closed off and on before the fluke tabs. It's opened for days and closed for days. I work long hours so I'm not there to watch it all day either. I was
turning the blue lights off to get a pick of the polyps and it closed up more so I can't say for sure ATM.

No Xenia but I'm treating my frag tank next that has leathers, Xenia, gsp, BTAs that are not in my display.

The lawnmower blenny eats algae off the clam shell. I've seen him get a bite of the mantle in the process. I think it's why the clam is closed sometimes.
