Rmcrom's Reefer XL 425

I added 2 more XR15s. The outer 2 are the G5 and the inner 2 are the G6. I put the G6 in the middle due to the wider spread the newer lenses give. G5s on the edge to reduce light spill.

That's a great looking tank! Well done! :) How do you find the added lights? I have 3 x XR15 g.6 on a similar sized tank with consideration for 2 x AI Blades on the side (... i have actually bought the brackets already!)

What sort of PAR are you getting in your tank?

The lights are working well for me. I am only running at 45% output on AB+ profile. I have about 120 sand and 180 rocks. I added the extra 2 pendants to remove shaded areas and may have tried blades if they were available at the time.

Fair play! :-) It's looking great; you should have enough oomph now :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I made a 'bonsai tree' reef rock to put in between my 2 'islands' to make it into more of a wall-of-rock style scape. I am very happy with how it turned out. I need to get some new corals now. :)

I have the week off and one of the projects I want to get done is clean up the wiring in the cabinet. I'm adding a Kraken to my Hyrdos collective and I'm making something to mount it all to. 20231226_181952.jpg 20231226_173843.jpg

I installed the new upgraded Tunze DC ATO pump. This pump is MUCH quieter than the old style, but it does make a little noise. I think Tunze missed the mark a little bit by not including rubber feet on the pump. I use a glass ATO reservoir and the vibrations transferred to it cause quite a racket. If you suspend the pump off the bottom it is a nice upgrade. It connected to my original power wires and ATO tubing. 20231227_120938.jpg

I finished my new Hydros Reef Command Center. :) I was able to replace a TON of wiring with the Kraken. I'm using a 75 AH battery which can run my lights, skimmer, return pump, dosers, ATO, and feeder for a long time in a power outage.

The montipora digitata was growing very fast and stinging acros so I took it out and added a Walt Disney acro.

Red Sea seals are failing. Water pockets are getting bigger and bigger.

Clamps due to Red Sea seals. I'll get a new tank when I move to a new house, but it won't be a Red Sea.
