Morning all
I was reading up on oysters the other night and some things you would never think
1 They can live 20 years to 30 years
2 They breath with gills like fish
3 They can change sex from male to female and female to male
4 That

one oyster can filter 50 gallon of water a day amazing
5 They have three chambers hearts that pump a colourless blood around the body
6 young larvae float around and attaching to other oysters and then stay there for the rest of of there lives building up colony’s . The oyster larvae are called spats .

Thought all my hermit crabs were died haven’t seen them for a long time but this evening two are moving about at the front they have definitely grown

Well I had a stressful weekend. First of all I started seeing a milky haze starting I have had this before it was the the male anemones letting there smurfs stuff into the water then the next day like a bottle of milk shrimps were floating to the top. I said to my self o no here we go replaced carbon after a couple of hour no change at all s..t this isn’t going good lol so water change mode 50% water change improved the tank water but still a-little haze . Next day a 10% water change problem solved crystal clear water thank god . So I think they let sperm off for the females and because it’s in a small volume of water every thing in the nano can not handle it . I don’t run a skimmer but maybe time to make one. Give it a couple of weeks and the female will be spitting baby anemones all over the place I would rather they would split instead of this milky haze but it is what it is just got to work around it lol. So a lovely weekend and all the anemones weren’t effected at all my hermit crabs are ok and my snails are fine but the shrimps are toast. When this was going on I tested ammonia salfert and it came back 0 so anemone juice is harmful lol

Does this count? It’s not an anemone you’d expect but I love it - the Mini Maxi Carpet Anemone. I’d love to see them in the wild (I believe they can be found in rockpools in indonesia).

I love all anemones
I’d love some more of them but they’re a pain to find as you only see RFAs around.

At one point I had snake lock Anemone very nice but you could feel there sting they were super sticky they split in my tank several times but I removed them because they were going to overtake everything in the tank . I will show some photos you can also get them I a green colour with coloured tips
