Dreaming of living in Ireland if that cottage was for sale I would buy it tomorrow. And living in the garden would be the little leprechauns . And when you go to the pub it’s full of the Black stuff . And then a little dance

I love out in the wilds of the fens(near Ely in Cambridgeshire) & often fish the tidal rivers.
The sheer diversity of sea critters that make there way up the rivers is fascinating.seabass, mullet & a large number of crabs plus some interesting macroalgae.all a little too large for a domestic aquarium but I'm always curious as to smaller species etc that are adapting to brackish conditions from pure saltwater

Beautiful.in these trying times off grid simplicity appeals more than ever.no nosey neighbours or petty disputes over parking either!
Only issue could be how to provide the juice to run all my tanks! :face-with-tears-of-joy: :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Yep we would have to save up for a ocean turbine for power . Some thing like that cottage with a bit of land for chicken/ couple of pigs / couple of sheep and a large poly tunnel for veg it would be heavenly. I live near the sea and on a clear day I can see Ireland. I’ve always been pulled to live next to the sea for some reason

Thanks @Nman

I'll admit, it's very odd to be invited to this sub group to show off design projects.

Most of my passion stems from my needs as a hobbyist. I leverage my skillset with the cost of most products on the market, and realize I can make it cheaper or at least better. When I say cheaper, I'm retired so my time designing, iterating and building don't get factored into the equation.

I'm quite proficient with Solidworks (a 3d modeling cad catered to engineering). I can design a lit of complex parts, the trick is to tailor to work with a 3d printer.

Most of my stuff is one offs for my needs, although I've been known to tweak a design to fit others.

I don't necessarily know Sam's skillsets but see his name tagged quite a bit. I must bot run in the same threads as him. Hehe

Anyway. If someone has ideas that they would like to have rendered and possibly 3d printed, let me know and I might be able to help out.

Although lately a lot of my time has been consumed with proprietary projects. I always have time for new ideas.

Jimmy

Hi everyone made a protein skimmer out of a juice bottle and the cup was made out of a tub witch was for dry onions. Working well first time I have had a over flow on the cup saves me pulling the skimmer out each time I have to empty it had a spare air pump so didn’t really cost me anything to set up . Just got another one to make for the native tank
