If I covered it with coral putty my entire tank would need covered . It comes off very easy. A swipe of a tooth brush and it is everywhere.

Ok - great to know. If you have a second person, go in and scrub off with toothbrush, having other person siphon it as you loosen it. Thereafter, add 1ml of hydrogen peroxide per 10 gals daily for about 7 days. During this time, do not feed coral foods or add NoPox if you are. It will remove the nutrients that support this slime.
