Well the tank was on sale and i got the ok from the better half. I don't have all the plans just yet (like lighting, pumps or live stock) just getting this going it the best part. I am in no rush so this page may not be updated every day. Here are a few pics on the tank more in and the construction of the area.

Here is the tank in the driveway. Got to thank the guys for helping me move it in and the transfer from the lfs.

I was lucky enough to borrow 3 suction cup handles which made it a lot easier to move. Coming out of the garage

This is where the tank is going. It is not going to be in wall but the sump and equipment will be behind the wall. I cut out the carpet and put down tile.

I also cut out the wall on the left side and finished off the wall to be straight so the space could be storage from behind.

Here is the tile with just the mortar.

Tile finished and grouted. Wall finished for the most part. I got more mudding and sanding to do. Not to mention the paint!

This is were i am at today. Plan is to paint the back of the tank black this weekend. Then wait for a stand to go on sale. I plan on drilling a bunch of holes in the tank for over flows and closed loop.

From those pictures it really looked like I was just there for the pizza. If you need any help just let me know, I'm always up for trip.

All I see is my double chin and the fact I need a hair cut. Where's the pic of Johnny flying the remote helecopter at midnight?

Update

I am almost done with the stand. Still have to do a bunch of sanding and Staining. I am waiting on the door to come in. I ordered them on line and they took a week to ship. Should be here weds.

Here is just the frame

Very nice can't wait to see the end result!

BTW can you name all the people in the pics so I can see who is who? :D I need a clear picture of Fickle so I can mess with him. LOL!

That is some nice work Bob and I really like the ledge look for a stand.

Rev,

I am the on in the blue Jacket hiding his face in the first pic.

Thanks Guys!
I am having fun with it. It's not perfect but i am happy with it. The molding was a real pain in the butt. So far i would say it has cost me 300 bucks to build this thing. Not bad! That is also 2 router bits i bought.

Rev- i will let who is in the pics out themselves! I am the one in the grey longsleve.

Rik and Chris, we can talk about stands if you really want.

My blues are still alive, but struggling. They are very cool colors on them. I wish i could get them to grow like they did about a year ago.
