Rocko's 210 Tank Build

That looks pretty killer! You should have a BYOB aquascaping party. But seriously, any special plans for the rock work in terms of epoxying them together?

Yea, the guys around here are pretty cool. All but one of those guys in the pics are from R2R.

I have thought about the aquascape a lot. Since the tank will be pushed up agains the wall the far right side will be a nice view from the side as well. I plan on doing a pennisula with corals on both sides of it. I think i will stablize the structure with either acrylic rods or epoxy or both. I am going to be pretty picky and anal about it as this is THE tank. Not upgrading from this unless i win the lotto.

When i start getting some rock i will invite you guys over for a bbq and beer. Then i can get your opinions.

I still have to plumb the closed loop and then the returns. Getting there!

Looking good!!! Have u decided what kind of rock ur gonna use?

Very nice, I'm about to start my upgrade to a 160ish gallon custom room divider style glass tank. Keep those pics coming. Great job so far.

Woo Hoo, An update.

Almost done with all the plumbing. Just have to finish the return for the frag tank. BUT the tank was filled with water for leak tests. And amazingly i had no leaks. The closed loop was first to be tested. The barracuda is so quite! But the OM4 was not spinning. So i had to take that out and clean it up. I even called Paul (owner)to ask about why it was not spinning. Good thing is i got it working with some light sanding on the inside of the drum. So i am happy with the closed loop. No leaks!

Now the main pump is a Marlin. Man that thing pushes alot of water. Too much water, i am going to have to switch it out for something else. The flow through the sump is just way too much. I needed alot of head pressure to push the frag tank, fuge, skimmer and any other equipment that i add. But even with all that it is too much.

But the good news is i can just switch is out pretty easy and keep moving on.

Wow!, I do not see how you keep track of all that plumbing!! Did you do the plumbing and electric, or did someone else? Just curious, am thinking about going to a bigger tank, and from the looks of this one, will have to hire someone to do the plumbing and electric. Your new tank is going to be awesome!

thanks, I have to label them and do them one at a time. I had a LFS guy come over to sort of confirm what i am doing. He did help me doing the plumbing to the house drain. So to do a water change i just shut off the pumps, turn the valve on the closed loop and turn the pump back on. And wham the water goes to the main drain in the house.

Electrical i am not done yet. But i am have a pro come and added a 20 amp circuit to the breaker box.

Sounds like I will have to do the same thing. Get a plumber and elect. pro for the job.

Looks awesome Bob!!! Glad everything is coming together.

thanks guys, Nice thing about the fuge is it is gravity feed to the main tank. It dumps in between the returns.

Can't wait to fill it up, dang ro unit is slow. :)
