Rodi worth it?

RODI system is a 100% necessity if you ask me. Once hooked up its very easy to use and assures me that i'm keeping my fish in best possible condition from the start.

Highly recommend

Worth it? Silly me I thought it was mandatory. When I first started a friend gave me a RODI system. I didn't even know why but he said use it. He didn't tell me the membrane and pre-filters were about 5 years old. Made my first year a living hell. After I got some experience and started figuring out things like stuff needs replacing, most of my water problems went away. It's like magic water!

ok ill try rod i water after i get this tank clear of ich. i the middle of transfer method butterfly didnt make it or injured yellow tang . but i knew they were likely to die either way. butterfly wasn't eating and tang had a cut from other yellow tang. all the other fish are great. just on a side not i thought my puffer was making the big bio loads but it was the 6 in emperor angel. she makes more dirty water then any of them . have them in tubs of 25 gallons i have to change 3 gallons a day even in transfer method . wow

I live in Ga also and have good drinking water. However, good drinking water doesn't necessarily mean good aquarium water. Total dissolved solids, minerals, chlorine and other contaminants could be there that you can't taste or smell. if you have outbreaks of dino, cyano or algae you could have your tap water tested. Some municipal water systems publish or will provide the make up of there output water. Good luck and good luck with the Ick.
