RR USA posted a photo of one of their jawdropper frags in the show-off thread; bottom right.
Here's a photo of the original colony from RR.
Color and growth pattern look very similar. Polyps are red but I've seen a number of JD frags posted now with red polyps.

It seems to be a relatively hardy coral. With any luck I can help keep it in circulation. I do have to say if you don't worry about the hype or the price tang it is still a truly awesome looking acro. If they start showing up from the wild that would be great but if not hopefully all the attention it's getting will help keep it around for the long run.

There was a lot of bashing because no pictures and now there is. as i was saiding from Tracy pictures there must be over 20 + frags and only a few came here. wounder where the rest gone to. You have to understand something is better to keep it quiet.

So RR posts up a couple pics of frags and not saying how he obtained the frags is ok? Last time I checked this was a RR Canada piece and RR Canada has already come out and said he didn't sell RR USA any frags. If it's legit then why don't they just post where they got the frags from? If this was a signature RR USA frag it wouldn't be a problem, but it's not. Its a RR Canada piece and the 2 aren't involved with eachother.

If you are a store owner and know where to get nice coral are you going to tell every one where you getting it from, no you would not. something is better to keep it quiet or it going to hurt many people feeling. so it better that way I think. so for all you later out there just suck it up.

RR USA has the original Jaw Dropper. Corals exist in the supply chain prior to TGC and RR Canada.
And that's a fact!
Problem lies not at TGC or for that matter anyone else here in the US but it all reflects back at Canada.

Could it be the real jawdropper? Possible, corals can be had from anywhere. But can I go to a wholesaler and pick up a colony that looks exactly like the JD so I can turn around and sell it as the RR JD even though I didn't buy it from the original vendor? All I'm sayingis that RR Canada has come out and publicly said that they didn't sell any frags to RR USA but yet they obtained some frags. If your commanding top dollar for a coral that has a known origin but yours doesn't comply how can you just not say publicly how you got it for lineage? And before anyone says that lineage is lame, RR USA is very strict with any lineage of their corals, so why is this piece any different?

Well all i'm saying they got pictures of the RR USA JD. no one say they came from Canada. from the look of it, it sure look the same. RR Canada have a lot of frags maybe they ship some to other place and maybe they shipped to RR USA who know. This is just my thinking or from the ocean.
