Saltwater Tanks: What do you hate?

My tank is not 100% right with the wall. You can only see it when you REALLY look at it, it kills me.

when i forget to turn back on my ato after a water change. come home from work on day 4 of no ato with a loud pump and a tank full of bubbles
So so so much this!

Is there a limit on the number of likes I'm allowed to pass out in one day? Because I have to be getting dangerously close after reading through this thread.

As much as we LOVE our reef tanks there are things that we hate about them too!

I thought it would be fun to list some stuff we really hate to deal with when it comes to our aquariums. They can be big things or dumb little things that get on your nerves!

JUST NAME ONE THING PER POST PLEASE!

I'll start.

It's little and dumb but I HATE it when I let water drip down the glass of the tank! ARGGG!

I agree about the water running down the outside of the glass. This is why I hate rimless tanks specifically. It's impossible to clean the inside of the glass without spilling water down the front, which then means you have to clean the glass with RO water to avoid leaving salt water residue outside. Eurobracing prevents it though!

Running out of room in my nano for new critters and corals and seeing so many new things coming in at my LFS that are actually affordable!

The fact that you can't stick your arms in the tank after you take a shower... unless you'd like to take another or stay sticky with saltwater with the ever-so-faint perfume of the sea. And of course, that's the exact time you notice something that just NEEDS to be fixed.

I grew up fishing in salt water marshes and off shore in the summer as a kid. That smell is like sweet perfume to me. Every time I go to the beach, when I get to the intercoastal waterway, I have to turn the AC off and roll the windows down and just take in all the wonderful smells of the ocean. No matter how hot it is.

Lights that have remotes. So I keep getting off light cycles when people watch tv

That the addiction never ends. Never enough coral. Never enough fish. Its like lighting stacks of hundred dollar bills on fire hoping one of them makes it lol
fish scratching with no visible signs of problem and not knowing whether to treat or not. Trying to catch a fish for days and when you finally sneak up and net him he jumps out while raising net out of water!!!!!!
