I'm surprised this didn't make it until page 12. I loath the stuff. I've battled it in the past and I work very hard to keep it away. Infuriating stuff.
This. Always makes me shake my head. People just can't appreciate it. lol

Tank crashes when everything seems and tests out fine and your tank is doing its best in years, only to notice that a powerhead seems to be missing the external magnet. To only then remove the powerhead and see that the internal mounting magnet has completely corroded and now you know why you lost everything that seemed healthy. I will certainly be checking all magnets the next time my params are perfect, or near enough, and I lose a healthy fish or my SPS start looking unhappy.

Not sure I have been around long enough to hate anything yet, my display is currently cycling but so far what I have found frustrating is that in order to do this the consensus "right way" is now I have 3 tanks setup to try and maintain. One 10gallon bare bottom Fish QT that's housed a pair of clowns for a month so far, one 10gallon Coral/Invert QT that's also currently cycling and my Display. I feel like I haven't even proven I can keep one tank up and I already have three going in an effort to try and keep from having issues in the one I wanted from the beginning. And with the 10 ft rule for aerosol transmission they're not even in the same location in the house.
On a side note trying to read shades of pink on tests is not in my wheelhouse. I'm not color blind but once you get past the very faint pink the others seem very difficult to differentiate.

How about this one? It's happened to me a few times.
I save up to buy that incredible anemone I've always wanted. I get it through its paces and it's doing great. I put it in the DT and it decides that it's favorite place is under a rock facing the back wall. Can't even see it. dang.
Or worse. They eat a power head. Fortunately I've not had significant issues with that one. But I've known friends who it's happened to.

I hate when the glass cleaner slips as you are cleaning the glass and fails to the bottom of the aquarium and lands just far enough away that you can't retrieve it with the other end of the magnet, forcing you to plunge into the water in order to get it.
