Glad to see youre still in the game. Did your bugs bunny make it? I lost my original. Got one as a mystery that hasnt had PE not too hopeful for it.

Yeah I disassembled and cleaned it. It’s actually a magnet shaft in a housing. That’s why I’m thinking the housing power itself is bad. I tried with my other controller and it did the same thing, so I know it’s not a controller issue.

No. It went from super happy to poof over about a week. That was a few months ago.

Same, i attributed it to tin as it went when the others did. The 2nd however has no reason not to be happy. The order the 2nd piece came in, was my only order that had a rough time tho.

Unfortunate, sounds like ya did everything ya can to troubleshoot it. Do you clean it in vinegar by chance? Whats the warranty like on those?

I clean my gyres with citric acid. Heard vinegar does something to the internals, idk. I prefer gyres flow over powerheads, but they are a lot more work

Yeah it damages the plastic, most notably for me, the seal for the magnets on mp40s. Citric acids def the way to go, i just scrub with a bristle brush and hot water for now.

It came with the tank when I bought it, so I’m sure warranty is out. I did find a new power motor so I may just order that.

Will try cleaning in some citric acid

Hi guys. Long time no see. I feel I’m ready to mingle again. Just had my first day at my new job, which consisted of zoom meeting and lots of online training presentations. First day on unit is Friday. As some may know my tank was devastated by a ton of torch losses, mainly. But I can say that it’s starting to look lots better, except for all all the friggin aiptasia. Once I get my pay going again I’m probably looking to get some peppermints and possibly berghia.
Here’s the tank today
