Haha I still do but I was reading about diatoms not going away and it was one of the things that came up and stuck out. Honestly adding just a couple percent of white vs 20% of white doesn't seem to be that big of a difference visually. I'll probably leave it as recommended for a while and slowly add a few % white during the times that only the blues are running. I can always manually change it if I really want also. So still lots of options.

That's why I'm going with Red Sea blue bucket, it has IMO the sweet spot for parameters.
Alk dKH 7.8 - 8.2
Ca 420 - 440
Mag 1250 - 1310

Just a guess but you could probably go a year on water changes alone before dosing anything.

Very true. My tank is a year old and all I’ve added is water.

I used instant ocean for 6 months before i got tired of mixing water. My point was that it’s a little early for you to be dealing with all the dosing. Just my 2 cents.

What the heck are my snail's doing?

Every morning I see them just hanging out shooting the breeze.

Umm...they do know my rocks are covered in diatoms right?

My turbo snail is the only one working...

Any ideas lol. Is this normal?
