SC Aquariums 50 gallon PNP

@NY_Caveman

If it makes you laugh anymore I did stand outside my tank for like an hour last night holding a flashlight above the nem. The only thing that happened is my puffer came over and hung out with me. Lol.
LOL

Classic “reefer madness” lol

Get one of the blue coral flashlights so it looks better for the puffer and you. You can bond over the prettiness and why those other fish don't love a safe place.

are you gonna go fugeless?

Not sure yet. Right now nitrates are 2.5ppm. and phosphates near 0. What do you recommend? I figure for now no refugium. Nutrient export does not seem to be an issue at this point. Then later on I can always add one down the line?

yeah if you're not having nutrient issues, why bother i suppose. i ended up using that middle section for a fuge with some marinepure and a tupperware of miracle mud as well as chaeto. but i've had nutrient export issues in the past with my modest overstocking of 10 fish :eek::D:D

Oh Man! Don't tell me that. That means I'm 4 behind! Haha. What's your stocking list?

2 clowns, 1 bangaii cardinal, 1 springer damsel, 1 midas blenny, 1 lyretail anthias, 1 orchid dottyback, 1 red line wrasse, 1 yellow wrasse, and i recently added a flame angel. i think the angel was a mistake to be honest, i should've stopped at 9.. everyone was chill and happy, the angel added aggression issues, although seems things have calmed down now after a couple of weeks. but i probably overdid it on the elbow room front

what's funny is the flame rolled in and was being a super jerk, like just attacking any fish it was near the first night, then over the next day or two it calmed way down, but that's when the female clown actually started attacking the flame. the clown had never done anything aggressive in my tank, but apparently she just wasn't a fan of the flame. flame had it coming at first, but then once he was calm i was hoping the clown would chill.. but the flame definitely incurred some torn fins, surprisingly. i've just been feeding heavy and it seems to have calmed everyone down. not sure this is a case of success that could or should be replicated, though.

Took some quick pics (not the best as far as focus and sharpness and what not) of the tank and updated post #2, since I said I would keep the most up to date FTS on that post.

Check them out if you get a chance. Darn you @Hemmdog @Why-Me 90% of my pics are under blues. I'll have to admit a lot of preconceptions about what I thought have changed lol. But I'm OK with that. It doesn't bother me to admit that I was wrong and that my opinion has changed on a lot of things.

Weekly water change moved a day up since I'm going to be in Dallas tomorrow morning so we can go to Aquashella Saturday. All polyps open on my Zoa's. Everything looking happy!

Man...it almost looks like I know what I'm doing. Got my electrical and liquids separated, well kind of. I guess if there is a leak in the line above the cabinet it could potentially leak into the power outlet. Didn't really have a lot of slack to do a drip loop. I may separate the two bundles out though I suppose.

The cat helped out a ton!

That cat must've got into those funky looking scotch glasses with the lights built in em'. I sleep like that after that many also. I just use my sleeve to wipe the drool off my chin, leave the tp in the outhouse. Get some pics of that big event, some of us will never attend something like that. I'll live through you. I'll be at a little frag swap in Rochester NY Saturday, nothing like elbow to elbow. Your thingies and cabinet are looking good.

Haha...not sure what that junk is. The fiancee is a collector of junk more or less. At least that's how it seems to me.

I'll try to take some pics. I'll try to take my clip on lens kit with filters and macro lens. I'm not going to lie, with 2 kids I think I'll spend most of the time chasing them down. On that note we should get some kid leashes but not sure how well that would work out for everyone else in the crowd. I can see people getting closelined in the knee caps already haha.

Lolol

Have fun, and make sure they do. I read how long that ride will be for you. I have experience with a 5 and 3, I know the patience required. Easier when they would sleep in a stroller. They have so much energy till they fall over.
