Schnitzels Shallow 250 Leemar

Good lord i hope that sheet beneath them is not the cost so far! Haha 22k cash money!

Seen a few people using those pumps in this application now, seems to work well. How much will you change a day?

Lol. No, That is some paperwork from work.

I don't plan on doing daily water changes. I'm gunna play with it for awhile and see what works. I was thinking of starting off doing like 10g a week, Or 20g every other week. Something like that. I'm not sure yet how I wanna do it.

Nice tank!!! And how is the sp6 pump sofar? My return pump(DC10000) running my 180 just died on me this morning, I was thinking of getting the sp6 as my replacement pump.

It's a beast. But what else do u expect from an Askoll motor?? Lol. IMO they're the best pumps in the industry. Same reason why all the high end pumps use Askoll motor blocks. I ran a Laguna 2400 on my 180 and never had a single issue. That's why I went with the SP6. A little more convenient since it comes with threaded input/output and a nice stand. I originally bought a Jebao DC 12000 for this tank, but ended up using it for my mixing station. No way I would trust that pump to run my tank.

Got some stuff for the new tank. Vertex reactor, 7" mesh filter socks, screen for a tank lid, and some bulk heads for my tank.

What size media holder is that? Been thinking about that same one just not sure on the size.

It's theRx-U 2.0. It's def big. Probably a little too big to be honest. But I'd rather have one that's too big then too small. It will fit fine in my sump, so I'm not worried

Thank you, I feel the same way about the dc pumps. I just don't trust them anymore, my didn't even last a year. And the power supply it came with is junk too, it started to melted.

How do you like the design of your sump so far? Does the baffle that goes from the skimmer to the refugium help stop bubbles? Im interested to find out if that single cut in the baffle allows enough flow.

I love it, it works great. Zero bubbles in the display, and yes that slot allows plenty of flow

Doing some vinegar soakin on my BP reactor and my calcium reactor. Starting fresh on everything. I don't want any pests in the new tank.

Nice build! I initially had the same water changing system but never ran it. Did a few test and adjusted accordingly so even amounts were exchanged. Then I won a Stenner for $20 in a raffle. LOL, looking forward to more updates.

OMG. With that many you need the push to connect led things. Soldering all that would kill me

Also explain that water change thing again.is it basically a giant dosing pump?
