How are you liking the AF system? Have you noticed any difference?
Going full aquaforest. I've already made one 30g water change with the probiotic salt, and I ordered another 30g bucket and other products.

I am following another RC member that seems to have pretty good luck with her Sps. The prices aren't nearly as expensive as Korallen Zucht is, so it's much easier to give it a try. The salt was $30, and the other 3 products were $40ish off amazon.

If your referring to the change in lighting, growth has gotten much better. Some corals have slowed, but I expect they just need to get used to the new lights.
Thanks. Side view is my favorite. Really looks like a natural reef from the side.
Honestly haven't noticed a single change.
BUT, I don't think I got the right products. I got component B instead of coral b. And I never bought coral v. Yesterday I ordered coral b and coral v. Figured I should at least get the right stuff and give it a real chance.

I have been on the AF system for a little over 3 months. I like it, but it did take some time to notice any difference at all. I am running 2 Hydra 52 HD's , but considering supplementing with T5's or going with a T5 fixture.

I got the wrong dimmer when I ordered my lights. I sent back the manual dimmer, and reefbrite just shipped my new apex dimmer. Should be here any day now. It will allow my apex to dim both XHOs.

Which products are you using?
I'm gunna be using Coral A, B, E, V.
To be honest I wasn't a big fan of the salt. It might be in my head, but usually when I do water changes with Red Sea, the next week things start looking better. I never noticed any big difference while using the probiotic salt. However I was only buying the 30g AF salt bucket. The Red Sea is 55g. So it could have been that. I just bought a big bucket of Red Sea blue bucket salt, I think I'm gunna stick with that. It's my fav salt I've ever used, and I've used quite a few different ones.
Everything is looking nice. Side shot is really dramatic

What do you mean by "things start to look better"? Maybe since you don't notice anything getting better is because the tank is already healthy and you are just keeping it nice and steady. I use the probiotic salt and I notice that after a WC my LPS get pretty fat and puffy.

My tank is 2.5 years old, so it's been pretty stable and healthy for awhile now. If I hadn't done a water change in a few weeks, right after i would do one, I would notice better/brighter colors on certain acros. Something I never noticed with the AF salt. Ive used it 2 different times.
Like i said though, it could have been in my head. But for now, I'm gunna stick with Red Sea salt.

Thank you sir. I love viewing my tank from the side! Glad I went 30" width over 24". Really gives a good viewing panel from the side.

Hey great, my RB XHO and dimmer controller is coming tomorrow. I thought it was a small black box that one must be a new model or maybe that's the dual and the single is the black box. Thanks for posting

Yep you are right. The small black box can be controlled by the apex as well, but it only does 1. The one I got is the same price, but no manual dimming, and it connects 2 reefbrites to the apex.

I hooked mine up to the new apex eb832 thru the 24 volt port so its one cable no power supply needed but its not dimmable I like the cleaner setup a lot les boxes attached to tank

How much Nitrate are you dosing? and How often? Ive been dosing as well but not sure I'm dosing enough.

I've stopped dosing nitrate for the time being. I've been seeing a consistent 5ppm. That's where I want to be. Haven't tested in a couple weeks though. So who knows where it's at now.
If your not seeing any nitrate, then double your dose
