Schnitzel's SPS

Standard.

I noticed the best growth and colors with all color channels full blast. Don't believe what others say, run everything full blast for at least 5-6 hours a day. I run a 20k setting in the morning and at night to simulate sunrise/sunset. I tried other settings and i didn't see the results I expected.

id suspect as much. radions are about 1k par 1' below the surface full blast.

i didnt get decent growth with my leds until i did the same. fun having a big tank and starting them from 1' nubs. just takes a ton of time for them to grow in to the tank.

Tank is lookimg good. I'm loving T5s myself.

Thank you. I wish I had switched to t5s along time ago.
Very nice -thanks for sharing!

Thank you [emoji1303]
Can't wait to see this in 3-6 months!
Yep same here
How do you like the AF products?
So far I'm not sure if I've noticed any big difference. Not really sure if I'm dosing the right stuff. There is so many different products, it makes it really confusing. Kind of like KZ products. Never know what to use.

That's a cool addition. Neptune had a thread on it where if you set it up and keep it plugged in, it will always be on apex fusion and lit. Unfortunately I got mine a few weeks ago and paid $40. I think it is well worth it at $40 and a steal at $33. My frustration with Neptune is sometimes the apex loses connectivity to the wifi--at least in my house

Easy fix. Run an Ethernet cable to your apex. I did that a year or so ago, and never looked back. I haven't lost connection to fusion ever since. When I had it connected via wifi, I would drop connection frequently.

And yea, I saw that video too.

I finally mounted my reefbrites. I feel like an idiot, I didn't realize the brackets that came with the Reefbrites mounted right to the Sunpower. I was trying to figure out all these elaborate ways of mounting them, and after a couple minutes on RC I found a thread explaining how to mount them. [emoji849][emoji379]

Didn't add a ton of shimmer, but it does make the tank look a little more blue, and makes my acros POP so much more. Don't regret spending the extra bucks for these at all. They are a great addition to T5s!!

RB add on looks like a easy one[emoji106]
Did you put them on just the front? If yes, do you plan to put them on the back also?

For now I'm gunna just run 2 on the front. To be honest I don't think I need 2 on the back. I didn't really add them for shimmer, it was more for the purpose of sunrise/sunset, and moonlights.

I was actually pretty surprised how much they helped fill in some shadows I was getting from the T5s. Since I mounted the reebrites at an angle, it lit up some darker areas of my tank. That was just an added bonus.
