I live in northern New Jersey and I have 2 coral shipments going out tomorrow for Friday delivery. One from Orlando and the other from Detroit. I heard from a good source fedex Memphis is shut down and it looks like bad weather on Friday…. Do you think I should postpone my shipments or roll the dice??? Mother Nature is a picky lady

My guess is that is the problem, plus they suck to start with so any staffing issues just compound the problem. I'd say the weather part of the statement is just a prediction not an immediate issue.
Yep, going to try and avoid FedEx now but think everyone is having issues with staffing.. UPS does seem better but don't know if its regional, FedEx has been a ****show

I have 3 deliveries coming tomorrow. I changed deliveries to be at the local FedEx/UPS store which is 1.3 miles away. This way I’m hoping they aren’t on a truck and will be dropped at store as soon as they reach my city.
Wishing you goodluck!

I like that FedEx when it actually comes out to my house is always here by 1030am. UPS isn't always as prompt but...... they do seem to be getting things places quicker these days.

10:30 is the average FedEx time for my deliveries

I don't order online from many vendors but the few I do order from have been switching to UPS because FedEx is no longer reliable. I've never personally had a shipping issues with any carrier, but anytime I've had a package going through Memphis I worry about it. It seems like it's always the Memphis hub.

I live as far away from my local FedEx for my zip code as you can get. 1 street over is another code so I'm always the last stop on the early bus but never later than 1030am. 1015-1030am is the usual. Which is great I dont have to worry about something sitting outside my house as I sleep at 7am.

I've got something coming USPS right now and they refuse to scan the bar code to let me know where it is on tracking. That's the worst. I just want to know if its actually coming when they think it is.

Sounds like that sound be fixed
They were the cheapest centrally located city. I dont blame them. But Memphis doesn't handle weather well and always seems to have staffing issues. They should have picked Birmingham or Nashville.

Not sure if FedEx s flights fly into Nashville.....?
I just googled it and they have a shipping center at Nashville International Airport, I'd assume they means they do. Although it doesn't necessarily means that will be the airport that they fly the package into.

Supposed to start snowing 6-7Am , we shall see. It should be in the area unless it goes through Memphis....Lol

Memphis is their HUB for FedEx express so overnight. I'm sure they still send stuff out of Nashville but not sure about overnight packages.

You clearly know more about it than I do. I just googled it and saw a shipping center at Nashville airport. I never even considered the fact that overnight deliveries may possibly have to go through Memphis instead.

Yeah I just don't know if you have something coming into Nashville and its sooooo close if they still send it to Memphis to get on another plane or truck just to go to Nashville. I have no clue. But most overnight goes to Memphis and gets flown out of there elsewhere.
