I just thought of something purely my opinion but wouldn't Kessil always suggest more lights as a solution? More coverage is always better of course but at $400 a pop of course they'd rather you buy 3 over 2. [emoji51]

Do they grow SPS corals good for you?

Nobody is saying they dont use them, you just need a lot more then u think. They (BRS) selected the AP700s for the 52 weeks of roofing. The 360s are great lights, but u need more then u think. And since you watched the videos you can see they have even spread but low PAR.

I will admit I only ever had Kessils over this tank so I am unable to compare them to anything else.

Here are my SPSs and how long they been in my tank. The one doing the best is my blue voodoo.

Blue Voodo - 1 year
Green Montipora Capricornis - 11 months
Pink Acropora - 8 months
Red Montipora Capricornis - 8 months (this one in the one next to the green cap [located right side of the red circle])
Red Digi - 4 months (another coral doing well I believe)
Red montipora Capricornis - 3 months
Pink Birdnest - 3 months
Montipora Confusa - 2 months

34g Solana, 360we, 3 years old, next month. Colony started out size of a softball. I've taken frags out of it every 6 months or so. Originally had the colony under MH for 3 years and never had the grow like I see now.

That's a great deal you found yourself. Although I no longer illuminate my tank with Kessils, I had 2 of A360WE's above my 126g. It wasn't enough light for my tank and my livestock which is why I upgraded, but it should be perfect for your 75g. It's an amazing light and it's deceptively powerful. The only downfall is the lack of total controllability, unless you use Apex. The shimmer is amazing and the full spectrum is fantastic. Good luck and happy reefing! a160we. Things have been doing very well. Great coloration. I got a half dozen sps frags when I started this tank a couple months ago, all of their colors have gotten deeper and are encrusting on their plugs very nicely. They were freshly glued when I bought them.

I have 2 on my 100. Honestly you need atleast 3 on a 4 foot tank for sps. I'm supplementing with t5.

To be honest, I'm not planning on using t5 just to see how long I can keep it going. I know the benefits of using them, I just want this to be as "low power consumption" as possible for as long as possible. I'm also having a little "stand" envy! [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]
