From all the recent RS debacles I would ask for money back and go elsewhere.

I have been slowly breaking my wife down on letting me get a bigger tank and was hoping for RS but after all these problems and questionable customer service, I know where I won't be spending my money at.Good lord! I’d post this in their vendor forum. What has happened to Red Sea they once were well respected now their stuff is pure garbage
@TheKylersFire, sorry to see the situation you are dealing with. I am sure RedSea will help you out.
As for bottom bracing, Glass Cages use bottom euro-bracing as a standard. We have building tanks for over 37 years this way. Don't change a good thing.
Agree 100% on all accounts. The issue here is that Red Sea for the most part doesn't monitor this Forum much if atall. So getting attention from them here is futile. You can't post anything like this on there Facebook group either because the Red Sea die hard Mods will delete it and block you (One can only assume that is why they steer clear of being active on here as they have very little control of what goes on).
Now most are aware of the huge volumes of failures Red Sea has been having over the past year. There step into the larger tank market seems to have been either a rushed decision or a poorly executed one. However, there are a few things other than poor silicone that "May" have caused this. @TheKylersFire once you've drained the tank, contact Red Sea Directly and speak with them. Once things have been worked out, or not, feel free to let us know. I'm sorry to hear you have to go through this on what I can only assume was a VERY exciting new build.
I will add that I reached out to Red Sea about there behaviors on there FB group and other things. They did respond with a rather poorly thought out email. And personally, this extinguished any hope of me recommending them to anyone for anything ever again. But that doesn't mean they won't make things right here.
Have a photo of yours? How did Red Sea handle? Important to get the information out so we can help others / Red Sea.Yep. I happened on my 650 Peninsula same location
I would be curious to hear more about your experience. How long did it take them to replace? Did they give you the run around? Today they asked for all sorts of photo id, more and more pictures, even said they were going to send out a Red Sea dealer to inspect. I finally got aggressive with them and told them 30+ people on R2R instantly agreed it needed replacement as well as the company I bought it from.Yep. I happened on my 650 Peninsula same location
It's shocking to me that a manufacturer supplying tanks that seem to fail left and right, openly hides the evidence of failures from the public, blocks their loyal and concerned customers (what the heck), takes their sweet time replying to urgent emails, etc., yet somehow they maintain such popularity and praise within the hobby. The lack of TRANSPARENCY is what really bothers me (maybe even more so than the failing tanks). From the outside looking in, they are shady at best, especially in comparison with the rest of the tank manufacturers out there. IME there are vendors out there who are 100% honest, their top priority is their customers and it shows, they will do whatever it takes to please and/or solve any issue big or small right away.

Crazy right? That's why I made the thread below. Whats even crazier is... in the middle of all this they release an even bigger tank. How about you slow down, and address all your current problems first. Just the fact that they are are shady is why I would never buy any of their products.

How old was this tank? Leveled and such? New or previous owner? How did RS handle? CheersDon't want to derail the thread. Here's an image of my red sea 650 peninsula![]()
Maybe just the picture, but the corner edge on the right looks like the glass has taken an impact and is broken, or is it just me?Don't want to derail the thread. Here's an image of my red sea 650 peninsula![]()
