It was quite fun. I had never done that before. I dipped all of the gifts in a Bayers dip. Everything was great for awhile but then things went south...which led to my rebuild.
BTA's tend to do that. My son picked one up for his 29 gallon bio-cube. Over the course of a year it grew then one day split and he had two. We didn't think there was enough room and I had a similar cube in my office we moved one. Maybe his got lonely and a few months later split again. Great, back to square one. Decided to merge the tanks into a 40 breeder which lasted for a bit. Three became four. Four became five. We don't feed them, they always look nice, fish and corals are doing well yet here we are. At this point I decided I needed to do a larger upgrade which I wanted anyway so had a 210 built. Over the last couple of years finished it and now we are at 7 rose bubble tips. Seem to be holding steady here finally but boy do they tend to take off.
I tried to give them away, found a few takers, but when I tried they had their base really into a deep hole in the rock. I couldn't get it to move via power head redirect, ice, or notes left on the tank (seriously tried that for humor). In any case if I end up with more that is the only thing I can do. Give them away rock and all. I don't think I can upgrade again.
