Small bit of blade missing in tank

Hi guys
Was useing a scalpel blade to cut some coral in my tank when the blade snappedand fell down the back of my rocks .. Iv found the bigger bit but there's a small bit I can't find ... Iv snapped off rocks that were held together with putty looking for this but still can't find it , is it gonna rust and crash my tank if I can't find it

You can try a aqua mag to see if you can find it, just be careful not to cut yourself.

Gonna have ago with the mag , trouble is iv moved the rocks that I was sure that it was in but can't see anything , iv near on wrecked the tank ... Never gonna go back the way it was

Hmm. That is not big enough to take apart and redo the rocks if you are really sweating on this one. I know it will not look the same, but take this as an opportunity to re-aquascape.

Now, how big of a blade is it? I have seen many pumps that we run in our tanks like magdrive with rusted screws. Too small a blade piece I will not get too worried about it.

Hi vince 99% of powerheads or other PumPS have some parts done in iron steel
Dont worry for it
Rush you see is due to air action of oxidation

If it was me, I'd leave it and maybe run a Boyd poly filter.
If corals started closing up, retracting polyps I might consider taking the tank apart to find it but that's pretty small.. It's probably buried in sand by now

No luck as of yet with the mag , I know you are all saying it's ok but I'm one them people that just won't rest till I get it ,my tank looks like a bomb has gone off in it

I would think a tank cleaning mag would have a hard time getting close enough to the metal fragment in much of the rock to actually grab on to it. If it was me I think I would get one of those telescoping magnetic tool rods that will allow you to poke around the rocks a little better.
