Small chip in corner of tank

Hey guys, I just picked up a 150g tank I found for a good deal, and I didn’t get a chance to inspect the entire tank before taking it home.

The tank holds water, but I found this small chip towards the left bottom corner of the tank. Should I be worried about it? Is there a way to fix it?

If it holds water, and the inner seals are good. It should be good. Just be careful moving it, so it dosent develop a crack

Thanks and it’s holding strong, I already have it set in it’s permanent home so I don’t have to worry about movement. I was just concerned from the front look of it but from the sides I can’t even see it

The areas seem to be spreading or are those just scratches

IMO, this is a 150g ticking time bomb.
I would not be able to sleep with that crack in my head

Looks like it was an issue before and somebody gooped it up with silicone?

They seem to be from the original chip but I can try to take a better picture.

I agree. Not sure I could live comfortably with that. A 20 gal, sure. 150 gal...

I didn’t think so, it looked like just part of the seal. The outside was silicones either.

I’m starting to feel that way, luckily if anything happens to any of my tanks they’re fortunately in the basement on a concrete slab

Don't think about just the floor. How about the fish and corals that you have in there if you decided to keep this tank.

Clam chip is ok as long as it does not have any runners. I would set it up with water. Heat it up for a week just for piece of mind.

I’m probably not going to keep the tank, but keep the stand since I reinforced it a good bit. I’m just trying to figure out who to get one from. This tank is a 72x18x25
