Almost wonder if the AB+ template is causing an issue if you modify the channels. Possibly the cause for the "Dirty" errors.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that heard a creak! I thought I was going crazy or about to witness a diode explode! I’m hoping it’s just breaking in too. I’m knocking on some wood for you now for that serial number!

I also want to know the comparison of 360X to X15G5.
I am always worry about my 360X can't afford enough PAR for SPS.

Shimmer on my 360X is too much for me. Wants to know if it’s worth it to switch to G5 xr15

Shimmer on the Gen5s is definitely a lot more consistent and less disco ball than the Gen4s

I did compare them to the a360we and side by side the kessil and noticed the kessil looks baby blue next to the Radion g5.

I noticed the creaking on one light but the others where sitting next to my tank for a few days before being installed and seemed fine I think it was just the cold weather outside and not being able to warm up before turning on to 100%. I haven’t really noticed any of the fan noise some are talking about unless I get right next to the light. Here’s a couple pics of g5pro on left g3 on right running ab+ day and night pic. It’s hard to tell a difference in the actinic in the pic but there was a definite difference in person. I always thought my gen3’s were great but the gen5’s made me see colors I didn’t even know existed in my corals.

The first picture is all channel at 100%? It’s so blue and it’s only the pro? I wonder how blue for the blue version? How is the disco effect ppl are talking about on the radion, still the same on the G5?

Disco effect is much less due to better distribution of LEDs/color. Much more natural IMO

No the second is all 100% on both lights. And you know I never knew there was such a thing as the disco ball effect on my gen 3 with diffusers until recently it one of those things you never notice unless your looking for but the two side by side you can clearly see it in the older model and very hard to spot if at all on the gen 5.

Ok I’m building a new tank and it was originally just supposed to be a frag tank sitting in my garage but after I started the build I decided I should move it in side and replace my 90gal. Just can’t decide whether or not I should make it a peninsula or not. Dimensions are 48x30x16.

Still waiting on mine. Told they would ship on 2/25, then it was 3/6, now it is unknown...not sure if they are just back-ordered from too many orders, or if there was a flaw found and shipments are delayed...

iPhone pictures, the details aren't great but the color is accurate along with the shimmer lines on the back of the tank: my goals were accurate color depictions.

In the first picture, G5 blue left on full channels (cyan is at 20%) and G4pro on right on ab+. First off the coverage and shimmer is better and with the cyan channel turned up all the way its hard to have a g4 next to a g5 and not notice, previously i ran a g3 pro and g4 pro which were "closer" in color to eat other. The g4 seems more violet than the g5 blue (which is definitely bluer side of white but perfect IMO). I am however happy with the g5 blue and plan on picking up a second this weekend to make the tank more even looking.

The fans are loud but i turned max fan speed down from 100% to 80% and cannot hear them, mobius is great - wish they had tutorials or any instructions, buts its early in the release.

Yours are silent at 80%? I set mine to max 40% and still super loud. I wonder if the max speed setting isn’t actually working

silent no, but much lower, at 100% it was too loud. At least for me it seems comparable to the G4 and back ground noise when before it was unacceptable.

This is only with 3 over the 180g.

To be honest the Hydras are way more of a directional light, where as the Radions seem like they were designed like t5's. Hydras have to be mounted this high to achieve some kind of reasonable spread that most corals would like. Besides you probably had to buy more of them to compensate for the crazy directionality of the hydras.

Do you think, that 2 g5 blue will be ok for my 48x24x24 sps tank or for less sps shadow, it’s better for me to go with 3 like BRS suggest ?

Are you talking about XR15 or XR30's. I have three Gen5 XR30 Blues on my 48x24x24 Tank.
