I just got my first coral for my 10 gallon tank about 2-3 days ago and some are kinda opening but I’m not sure if they are doing good since this is my first time if anyone could look at these photos and tell me if they look good or if something is wrong that would be much appreciated. I also am not sure about the location of them all I’m not sure if I should move any of them up or down.

Ok I put a ammonia reducer pad in my aqueon quietflow 10 filter and I will do the water change as soon as the fritz turbo comes in. Is there anything else I can do in the mean time?
When I put the Fritz turbo in should I keep the filter media in? I also am thinking about getting a tidal 35 how soon do you think I should get it?

Just make sure you have good aeration since the tank looked cloudy which could be a bacterial bloom

You would take out the ammonia reducer, carbon, and filter sponge. Only biomedia should stay if you have that. As for the tidal, that is up to you.

Ok I have 2 things I’m thinking of now I think I’m going to get the tidal if and when I do should I get any media to go with it other than the sponge that comes with it and the matrix bio media. I also have a air put I come hook up to the tank for aeration but I’m not sure if I should that is why I have yet to hook it up

Also should I have the filter media in it right new I only have the bag with the carbon and the ammonia reduction in it rn

Really the only things you need are quality carbon and a filter sponge/pad. You can add a pinch of gfo to the carbon is phosphate becomes an issue. And did you mean you have an air stone? If so, you can add that while the tank is cloudy

Ok I put an air stone in and also what would you recommend as quality carbon? Is just the aqueon replacement filter cartridge good? Or when I get the tidal 35 is there carbon good or should I go with something else?

Should I keep my lights on when I put the fritz turbo start in or should I keep it off. I’m just not sure because I have the corals in there

I'd also still consider rehoming that fish unless it is eating frozen food or pellets.

Do you see the scooter dragonet actually eat those?
I see him like reach down and look to eat. I put a bottle of copepods in the tank for him when I got him. He has been acting a bit strange lately and has been swimming up and then back down repeatedly.

The problem is that they may decimate the copepod population quickly in that tank unless you are breeding copepods and adding them frequently.

Oh ok I’ll watch him tomorrow when I feed them again and see if he is eating. Also for right now should I have the filter cartridge with the carbon in it?
