Steelerfans 120g build from scratch (Pic intense)

Hi there. I wanted to start off by stating that this tank has been torn down and passed on to my brother as of about 2 years ago. Last time that I spoke to him, he still had not set it up which is a shame because I feel that the build came out really nice if I do say so myself.

I have been through many tanks and have lost most of them due to poor husbandry as I work crazy hours and don't really have the time to dedicate to all the maintenance that is required. After many promises that this time it would be different and showing her a design of a stand that I had seen posted on another forum, I convinced my wife to allow me to start of my 120g escapade.
However, the tank was set up in the living room which is in a room that we never frequent so I never got to see my tank and therefore fell victim to poor husbandry again. I thought about moving it over to the family room but based on the layout we just did not have enough available space which led me to handing it over to my brother and setting up my current 46g 22" cube. I know it is a very big step down but it was about the only size tank that I could fit in the room.

This is how the build came to be. Hope you enjoy.







Started off by having to purchase a saw as I don't own many tools

The stand was built sturdier than it needed to be but I wanted to make sure it would be solid and was very happy that it would not have a front center brace getting in the way.

Started the skinning process. Skinned it with solid maple

Used these nice decorative corners to attach the panels

Great work on the stand, can't wait to see if you decided to stain or paint it. I have found from when I was keeping multiple fw tanks that it is easier to keep up with the tanks that are in areas where you spend a lot of time at.

I found that out the hard way. That is why I will never do it again.
