Steelerfans 120g build from scratch (Pic intense)

Single overflow on the right side. Only problem is if the right side is not against a wall then you could see the pipes

These are the beginning steps of the front face made from maple

And making the necessary steps to attach the face to the canopy frame. Like the stand, the top was made with side doors as well but is made with an open back and partially open top for proper air circulation.

And here it is with the face attached. You could see the open back and top in these pics

Even though the canopy is still missing the moldings and doors, I could not help but place them on top of the tank just to get an idea of what it would look like

Now as previously mentioned, the canopy frame was made out of pine while the face is made out of maple. The only issue with this is that both woods will stain differently

So I went out and got this

Sheet maple to skin the frame

I love the molding choice!!!

Looking great...I love the detail (molding?) on the stand. Did you do that work yourself or just buy it as pieces of trim and put it together?

For not having any tools - your work looks really clean.

Eager to see this thing up and running!

Looks amazing!!

Thank you

Thank you. I did all the work except for the doors and a separate piece of stand top molding (pics to come)which I had made. There were a couple of times with everything else where I freaked out thinking I may end up cutting off a finger as some of the pieces where really small but luckily I still have all 10 :)

Looks great!!! Can't wait to see the finished product. Tagging along for sure!

Hi Rey
Your woodwork is amazing mate, Looks like its going to be a beautiful set up!

Thanks for the compliment. I have always liked to tinker with building stuff but had never tried making a stand so I took it as a challenge

Molding added to canopy..... I definitely think the moldings make the difference and complete the look

With the moldings added I was able to bet a better idea of what the finished product would look like
