The child in me wants to start touching every coral to find the one.
LOL. If you straight-on prod them, likely not much will happen. But if you try very gently just barely touching the coral with your inner wrist, that may just do it

I have a foxface in every tank; the best "working" fish you can have. They don't give me any trouble, but don't take too much false comfort from the glove. That is an easy puncture for them if they are inclined.Call me paranoid but I always wear gloves when handling coral or rock because of exactly that. I have a pair that cover my arms to so my foxface doesn’t hit me with his venomous spines while I’m in there.
No actually. They used to scare the crap out of me.You were that child that played with bees and wasp, weren't you? lol

Mine don't do it often, just randomly.Ive touched my frogspawn and hammer without an issues. Ive cut them both when fragging as well and no issues. Must be lucky or havnt been unlucky yet but after seeing the bristle worm pictures I dont want to grab my rock lol
Could be palytoxin
what zoa are we talking about? No Barb so I’m guessing not a worm. Does a zoa have the ability to do that?
I was thinking it could be.Could be palytoxin

I was just reading a post by mcpeachy asking if the zoa sting should still hurt hours later.Gobstopper that I got last week from WWC. I was moving it bc it’s barely been hanging on.
