is there a size that does better? im looking to get another for my wife. Also if i added it before any other fish would that be a problem from a bullying perspective? Tanks is well established.

Had no issues with mine except that he became the tank bully and had to go away. Eventually need a very large tank. I would say minimum 180 gal.

Yea I had the same problem with mine. He was fine until he was big then became a bully.

One thing I learned from cichlids keeping is high fish population density spreads out aggression so that’s why I keep so many fish in the tank. But it puts more pressure on nutrient exporting.

Its a 6 foot 125 tank i used. About 40 gallons of fuge space, then a super reef octopus rated for 450 gallons, then to the mag 12 chamber. About 250 lbs of rock in the system currently.

That’s about the same to my setup. I just have an additional Pax Bellum algae reactor.
