I need something to shut my RODI off . I know there’s kits and this and that yet I look at them, then look at my RODI... get confused and shut the page. I have successfully installed both the triple tds monitoring kit, and a pressure gauge onto my RODI.. have one of those flush valve things I need to figure out to install as well. I have a marine depot 100 gpd economy RODI. Please help me before I end up floating away.

Installation was actually alot easier that it sounds. But this is the kit I used along with these instructions after flooding my kitchen twice.

So.. I’m confused on the flow restrictor part. I also was curious about the piece that says flush. So wait I just install the flush valve on either the one of the waste water or RODI water output?

So the shut off valve is as easy as connecting the little square box with a float switch?

Been there, done that. I installed an Avast barrel tender (as mentioned by another poster). I already had an autoshutoff in the system, so the Avast turns the RODI off when the Avast shuts down. While I was doing that, I installed an auto flush kit to keep my membrane clean. I also installed a leak block (https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/leak-block-sensor-valve-lbs-10-hm-digital.html) to protect against hardware failure and shutdown the water supply. Lots of options to prevent this again.

Any chance you can provide a picture of your RO unit to see what it does and does not already have that would help alot

Keep the bucket in the tub / shower?

Thats what I did until I got a float
If you have the line to be able to do that that's actually a really good ingenious idea. I'm a little ashamed of myself that I had not thought of that sooner

So it’s weird... like my upstairs sink (one with a bathtub) used to be the one I did my RODI on. Somehow I think I bent the inside ring that you screw into, and could never get my RODI mounted there again.. tried the other day again even. So now it’s always downstairs which is also a pain, it’s only a 5 gallon bucket.. easy to carry but also easy to overflow. Ideally I would love to be able to justify drilling under my sink in my bathroom to a line to my closet on the other side of the wall; and mounting the RODI right there. Ideally that’s what I’ll eventually do if I don’t manage to flood my house again... on strike 2 of 3 . This was just a careless mistake of leaving without realizing it was on. How would one go about hooking a RODI connection to the bottom of a sink?

I did exactly this in my new condo, drilled through the wall and drained into a shower, able to set up a nice resivor.

I am actually remodeling my bathroom and my contractor asked if he could burry my lines in the walls!!

I like to utilize spectrapure manuals for any water installation, even if I buy parts at BRS.
There are a variety of ways, just take your time, it will be well worth the little expenses compared to flood.

I had a big deductible for flooding my condo and my downstairs neighbors whole ceiling. Now I take extra measures of safety.

The auto shutoff Crab posted is mechanical and foolproof. And cheap +1

Also if you go on Amazon or Online retailer of your choice and search 1/4" float valve hundreds of cheap and different mounting variations pop up.

Just plug your line into it and once the water lifts the float it closes. Very similar to how a toilet works.

John Guest Angle Stop Valve allows you to attach it under your sink without putting holes in your plumbing

Here's my RODI plumbed under my kitchen sink. I live in an apartment, so I couldn't drill holes in my pipes.

I just use a Kent Marine float switch on the side of a Rubbermaid Brute. The RO unit has an auto shutoff to stop the waste water.
