Thank you! Can't wait to get everything dialed in, it will take some time.Looks great!
I have never ran a reactor before, never needed one. But since I have no where to really put my Red Sea carbon that I'm using I will hopefully be getting one soon. I've looked into a bunch and it looks like I'm going to go with the Avast Marine Works Spyglass Reactor. I contacted them directly and they said for my needs all I would need is the small one, even if I decide to run different media with the carbon, which you can with this reactor.Really digging the rock work. It looks great.
Do you have any plans for reactors? Nutrient control?[/
Yeah I never saw one before either and I really liked him so I got him lol. And yes I got the split return nozzle from Top Shelf Aquatics in Orlando, FL a couple months ago. Unlike most people I had the luxury to be able to drive there and avoid paying for shipping. While I was there I picked up some nice frags as well.I really like the Orange shoulder tang. Don't think i've seen one before.
Did you add the 3d printed Y nozzle off your return? I purchased one online and it looks similar to what you have.
Here's the way I look at it, if you have 2 MP40s or similar powerheads in your tank you don't need the lock line, all that does is make it spread out more and IMHO I think loc-line is ugly looking. I have my 2 MP40s on 50% in my tank and I get plenty of flow with that. I like the split return better for the clean look and to still give the middle of the tank some even flow, but not all in the same direction as you do with the stock return nozzle from Red Sea. Also the split return lets you crank your return pump up a little more if you should want to.I think that return nozzle is better than the loc-line solution. Much less obtrusive.
Just picked up this Fiji Acro for the tank. My new favorite!
