My Clowns have finally laid eggs in my new tank.
They used to lay eggs in my old tank almost monthly, but hadn't since I switched them over to the Reefer.
Guess they finally felt comfortable enough!

That's awesome man! I've had the same pair of clowns for awhile now and they never have, not sure if they ever will.

Here's a pic of the eggs. They are bound to be fish food unless they can hide in the rocks and make their way on their own. I have no idea how, nor the the desire, to raise clowns!

Sure thing! Lifeguard Aquatics LED Digital Thermometer and I got it from The Fish Tank in Daytona Beach, FL. You can also find them online. This thing is pretty accurate, really bright LED screen, and I like the fact that it plugs in so no batteries. Although the cord is not long enough for big tanks like mine, so I had to use a small extension cord to get it where I wanted it lol.

Picked up a Unicorn Tang over the weekend. My wife's new favorite fish.

Yeah they get their horn when they are adults. Apparently they get very big when they get older too so I might just stick with the two tangs and no more big fish for this tank; but will get maybe a couple anthias and call it good for fish. This fish is the biggest eater I have ever seen, such a pig even with multiple feedings lol.

Well sad news to report. My tank has ick. Woke up yesterday to all my fish except the Chromis dead. I should have known something was up when they weren't eating that good the night before. Now even the Chromis are loaded with white spots. Looks like I'll be taking them out for treatment and running my tank fishless for 10-12 weeks. Uggghhhh I'm so upset because every tank I have ever had I've had to deal with this parasite at least once, it sucks.

You are not alone if it makes you feel any better. I put what I thought was an Ich free Powder Blue tang in my tank about a month ago. It looked great in the store and I scrutinized it before purchasing. Next morning I noticed a white spot on it's side and it snowballed from there. Lost him about 10 days ago. I cleaned the quartz sleeve on my uv sterilizer, which was a bit cloudy, and all my other fish are fine so far. It blows to lose fish!
We both need to set up quarantine tanks.
Hang in there, go fallow, and before you know it you'll have fins in the tank again.

I have never ran a reactor before, never needed one. But since I have no where to really put my Red Sea carbon that I'm using I will hopefully be getting one soon. I've looked into a bunch and it looks like I'm going to go with the Avast Marine Works Spyglass Reactor. I contacted them directly and they said for my needs all I would need is the small one, even if I decide to run different media with the carbon, which you can with this reactor.

You won't find a better reactor man. You probably have it already, but I'm just reading this.
I run two, one carbon and one purigen. No ozone and I get an ORP of 375-400 with low to no nitrates and clear as mountain spring water. You can technically mix media, so you could add Purigen to the carbon, but since carbon is typically depleted before purigen, I use two. Hope you love it. Only advice I can give is that you don't need as much flow as you think, even at low on a Sicce Nano, I push Purigen out the top.

Probably velvet if they died this quickly. Velvet seems to be running rampant all over the country; I've heard about a ton of people getting velvet lately

I've been thinking about getting a UV Sterilizer but that's another thing I've never used before and so I know nothing about them. And I was planning on setting up a Quarentine at some point but it doesn't do me any good if I can't catch the fish lol.

I haven't bought it yet. Waiting on my old tank to sell so I can buy it along with a couple other things. Saving the money I have now for Black Friday shopping.

Kills fish much faster than ich, like hours to 1 or 2 days, as opposed to ich taking a week or longer. Velvet in your tank will spell disaster for your fish overnight.

Yeah I'm thinking that is probably what happened. At least it looks like I can still do the fishless cycle to rid the tank of it so that's good I guess.
