As far as you first question, you have a mixed reef, since you have a mixed reef you will have to look out for all three individually. You can treat the system as a LPS system, but there are many different thoughts on how to dose a system
Myself I do not have softies and just dose the recommended dose for my corals. The main thing I watch is my parameters and my nutrients

You can dose 2+ and I would start with 50 ml per day and check you numbers daily and make adjustments

Thank you for making the video, you are doing everything right, except you should only start with .83ml of titrate in the syringe when the first bottom ring of the plunger is at the 1ml mark. At this point is does not make a difference.

Thanks for making the video! Because the component +2 isn't really designed to raise levels that much I'd suggest you get some of this.

Before you being dosing of components 1,2,3 it's suggested to get your levels set first and then you will end up dosing the components to match your consumption.

Once the alk starts coming up, you will notice that the system will start consuming the Mg and the Ca much more.

How am I supposed to correct high mag? If my salt has mag to being with water changes won't help.

Is the salt mixing at 1600ppm? BRS says it is supposed to mix at 1300-1380.
Are you dosing any Mg supplements?
I have been in this situation before because I dosed it up to 1600ppm. Coral were ok, but unhappy. To get it back down, I didn't stop dosing my Mg supplement. I just dosed less than needed to maintain the 3ppm per day uptake. I got the 3ppm uptake per day figure from one of Randy's posts. This allowed it to slowly settle back down within the appropriate range. dKH rose to an appropriate level. Don't force it down quickly. If you do, then your dkh will shoot up as a result. If you aren't dosing, then stop doing water changes. Let Mg get used up and just dose your 2 part or whatever you are using equally to maintain your calcium at 420ish. This will take quite some time. It took me ~2 weeks to get my Mg from 1600+ to 1300.

@Anirban, I have done this for you numerous times... using the salt out of the same box...is always the same high reading mag..but I will test either tonight or tomorrow..
