Yes, a new addition. While floating these 2 were showing off to each other. A pita is an understatement lol. They hardly ever stay still and cruise the flow. All of the pics I've posted have been using an Ipad, have yet to upload any I've got with my camera. I do plan on taking lots of pics and vids as things progress.

Need some Flasher Wrasse advice please. I've had McCoskers, Carpenters and Diamond tail flashers. All these have decent color when not flashing and great color when flashing. I'm been looking at Blue, Filamented and Linespot flashers mainly because of the filaments on the dorsal fin. Unfortunately when not flashing these are somewhat plain. Pretty much just the red color. I've seen pics of them flashing and some look truly awesome. For those that have had most of these which of the blue, filamented and linespot did you like best? Is there much difference between the three when flashing? Did you like the blue, filamented, and linespot better than the McCoskers or Carpenter when flashing? Also considering belles and red tail flashers. Recently lost my diamond tail. Had turned mostly black but still looked great when flashing.

Honestly, I would have flashers in my tanks if they never flashed. They have such great personalities. I've had blues and linespots and they looked great when flashing. I have one which most resembles the sp. Maumere in Kuiter's book and he flashes just about all day long. I love my Eightline even if he doesn't flash much at all, which I know is a shame. But it is amazing when he does get riled up and starts flashing. My Yellowfin is puppydog tame. I also have a cute little McCoskeri and a flavianalis x filamentosus and he doesn't flash much either. Maybe that will change with time and within the dynamics of the tank.

IME when flashing filamentosus, flavianalis, rubricaudalis, and cyaneus are some of the most spectacular. Cyaneus gets very blue when flashing.

He should mix well with that group. Just use a social acclimation box for introduction.
