I like that they have 3 closed threads in their "Feedback and Questions" forum regarding you guys being banned. Apparently its not a feedback forum at all because they aren't allowing anyone to state their opinion on the matter.
 
Let's see just how easy it is to get banned from RC...lol

oh my i can't believe they would be so cold to someone who sponsored them. i was referred to reef to reef and reef central. i made my reef to reef account and i have been hooked and was considering making an account for reef central but i think i will put that idea in storage. i dont think i can deal with their "business" way of life.

Ive been banned 2 times I only go there bc my local reef club has a section in the reef club forums
 
We appreciate the support guys. Yeah, they banned Jim too! I don't get it. We have always followed the rules on RC, but that doesn't matter. We didn't want to sponsor on their forum any more due to the restrictions and lack of business on the forum. I can tell you with all honesty and the numbers to back it up, that we have sold 50x more corals through R2R than we ever did on RC. For the amount of money we were spending there we could have sponsored 10 other forums. RC expects you to hand over tons of money every month and then not have a say in your own affairs.

But yeah, as Jim said, get ready for the "We got banned from RC" sale. Extra discounts to those who sign up new to R2R, along with those who were banned on RC.

Its a shame that RC is not utilizing its full potential because its really about reefing and the free spread of info. I think if they adjusted their policies it could really impact the hobby in a positive way. Yea its a loss for RC to not have many of those wise reefers but really the loss is for the other newer reefers on RC. Those newbies are the reason why RC should not exclude people like me and you becuase of some small issue which turns frankly into a ban. We are the people that are teaching others that are getting banned. Its not like we are bad people. It takes many hours to type explanations and help people.

I appreciate R2R because I can talk and learn about reefiing in a laid back atmosphere. I am allowed to post pictures of my corals as they grow and the people are great. Plus lets face it guys, R2R's sponsors have the best corals in the world!

Their loss is our gain. I wish I could say I'm surprised but as an official member of the "MOVED ON" club, I'm not...lol. It's members and Vendors like you that make R2R the place it is....:bigsmile:

rc is a complete joke menard in the cmas forum litterly sells atleast 10k -15k$ in corals every year and thats the only posts he has made on there in sometime. hes still there not banned or anything!

id say dont look back its their loss not yours thats just 2k youll save :D
 
WOW..so Lame...same thing happend to a friend of mine almost a year ago, hes not a vendor, just has alot of nice stuff trying to sell a few frags and recoupe a few $$ = banned
 
I was banned from RC because I called out a certain Mod (name is synonymous with alcoholdude). He didnt like that I knew something that he didn't. I will NEVER go back there. Plus this site is WAAAY better.

I was just banned last week. The reason they gave me a really silly. They classify me as a commercial hobbist because I have a big frag tank and have kept many high end corals. I told them I only like high end corals and my big frag tank is hold my coral collections. Because Chalices, favias and zoas are good to look down, and that's what I like to have. So I had to have a big frag tank. They never listened. So they banned me forever.
 
Not shocked In the least. When I was there they caught me selling corals but it was well befor I was a vendor, I got a message from one of the main mods that is still there, it flat out said* spounsor the sire and we will allow your sales, otherwise you will be banned.
Keep in mind all I sold was one frag to a club member and my tank was only 40 galloms. All my post screamed noob and I was clrearly just a hobbiest, I replied back saying so let me get this straight, if I pay you I can use your site freely buut without it im gone? How is that not extortion? Ten min later I was banned,

3 years later I had a new account and over 700 post all in the forums and even received messages thanking me for helping others on the boards with very detailed info.

One day a member came to my home and I was setting up my first large frag system. He went on the club forum talking about how cool it was, one day later I got a very similar message that if I planned on selling coral I must become a member, I did not reply this time and boom banned,

Crazy I tell ya, if it was politically correct it would be cool to see how many here are rc banned or converts, ii bet the numbers huge

I have a question then. How come there are many people who have been selling a lot corals and never got banned?
 
I say screw RC and stay here. There is another site I go to but some of the posters are getting on my nerves. You all have seriously been very pleasant and helpful. As long as it doesn't become a schmuck fest here I will be here for a very long time if ya'll will tolerate me! :):)

it does not help when your name is plastered all over a bunch of other forums and ebay selling various other aquatics.
oh yes and frank i asked why you were banned and i was told that they didnt know. the mod i asked didnt ban you.

Always been curious about that as well. There are several members that always post up frag packs and stuff all the time, but never get banned.
