My sand wasn't even rinsed before I added it this move. 24 hours and I could see in fine. 48 hrs it was a little hazy. 5 days and crystal clear. May have been clear sooner, I didn't pay attention.OK so I'm not a mean person. But there are some times I read things that make me wonder. Situation and point, thread on here where person is asking if she should remove sand to rinse it because they didn't rinse it when they set her tank up and it's been cloudy. Am I missing something here? Take the sand out to rinse it? Maybe it's the gummy but isn't the sand already rinsed when you put it in the tank with water?
Yes, does definitely sound silly.I guess it wasn't whether to rinse or not that had me perplexed. It was whether you should take the sand out and rinse it and then put it back in. I guess that just sounded silly to me. #blameitonthegummy
The 48 could have easily been bacteria reestablishing as well.My sand wasn't even rinsed before I added it this move. 24 hours and I could see in fine. 48 hrs it was a little hazy. 5 days and crystal clear. May have been clear sooner, I didn't pay attention.
Nothing silly. Taking the sand out to rinse after it's already rinsed with tank water, it's the water that's cloudy, not the sand.I guess it wasn't whether to rinse or not that had me perplexed. It was whether you should take the sand out and rinse it and then put it back in. I guess that just sounded silly to me. #blameitonthegummy
I'm in that conversation. It's very tedious. I'll probably leave soon. #notthegummyOK so I'm not a mean person. But there are some times I read things that make me wonder. Only grief will be if we hear you didn't go...I'm sure to hear a lot of grief out of this one, but its only about a 15 minute drive for me.

Totally silly to me. Just put a hob filter for a day or two if it bothers you. Or just have patience and let it do its kindI guess it wasn't whether to rinse or not that had me perplexed. It was whether you should take the sand out and rinse it and then put it back in. I guess that just sounded silly to me. #blameitonthegummy
