This time Im really scared

We just drove around and here is my block. We live in an area called the Oaks and this is why.
About a third of the streets are blocked with down, still alive wires and trees.
Thank God that of the dozen or so trees down around my block, none of them fell on a house.

Wow Paul B your right lucky one of those trees didn't fall on someones house man that one in the pic was huge

This is the scene on almost every block.
Those Oak trees line most of the streets of this town. I think they planted them 150 years ago when they made this village.

Those are some big trees Paul, its a shame to see them knocked over like that. Better in the street then on the house though.

How about this:

That was in bridgeport about half an hour away. I drove over there to check on my grandma. My power has been off for about 10 hours now, I heard on the radio that it may take up to 5 days to be restored. I hooked up the generator, but there is no internet. The tv is up and the fridge and my tanks (minus the lights) are running.

Salty lost power for now. Nothing major over here. I prepared for the worst and didn't get it so I"m happy. At least now I have enough to ride out the next storm without worry.

I just went to my boat which is about 5 miles away and there are only a handful of homes here with power.
I didn't lose power so I lent my generator to a friend.

They pulled my boat out of the water just before the storm. It will go back in on tuesday.

Nice boat Paul B glad to hear you didn't lose any power that's a relief in its self wish I could say the same for my boy Bill who I believe lost power

I only lost it for a little while a few times. I don't know why I still have it, most of the areas around here do not.
But I'm not complaining.

Crazy pics Paul. Glad to hear everyone got through without too much damage or incidents.

Very few homes here have power, I am lucky and I lent out my generator.

This is around the corner from my house

well I just got my power back at 5am Wednesday, It looks like a war zone here too. I had my tank and some other things powered by my generator. Glad not to hear that thing running anymore for now
