Tomini tang scratching

no clue.... I wouldn't chase him around, you'll just stress him out and if he does have ich then it will cause quite the break out.... do you have a trap or can you find one from a local reefer?

Although, could I use a binder like focus I think and feed nori with prazipro or gc along with the rally pro?

is the tang still scratching or did you only see him scratch a few times?

I’ll check today after I get home
I wasn’t seeing him scratch yesterday but he was. like twitching

So I’m going to the store today,
Should I get prazipro?
If the ruby reef rally pro doesn’t seem to be doing anything after today I think I should switch meds but remove with carbon first

Well the per store didn’t have anything but what I already had

After a huge pain in my butt,
He is in hospital with general cure

He is alive today, I saw him itch on the glass once
He is just hiding in a pvc tube most of the time
I have some bio media in with him, so should I just do daily 75% water changes to keep up with ammonia?

So I have been doing 5 gallon water changes, out of 10g tank but it only holds like 8 gallons and I fill an inch or two away from the top, and the tang will be done with general cure treatment tomorrow night

do you think I should put him back into display or treat with rally too?
Or observe?

Last day of treatment
Tang is doing great, no symptoms of disease or parasite, and he is violently attacking nori

is it alright long term for him to only eat nori?

Scratching is always bad news. It's a good idea begin cycling a hospital tank for the things to come, with sponge filters to deal with amonia.

Copper will not kill good bacteria so you can treat your fish with not issues. Hope it works, good luck buddy.

I have a 10g filter in there from petco, and a large rock and a bag of bio media for ammonia, I’m also doing daily 50-70% water changes

I haven’t seen him scratch in at least 3 days now, and he is eating very well

I think it was flukes

ill keep him in observation for a few more days I think just to make sure he is good

I would run quarantine for at least 10 days. Rally Pro does treat an array of symptoms, and hence the longer fish is exposed to treatment, the better chance of full recovery for it.

I am not currently treating with ruby, I have been treating with general cure for the past 4 days
