Thursday can't get here fast enough. Will be getting the rest of my sump parts ordered and then will be moving the tank to the new stand. Then I can sell my eheim finally and switch to the reef octopus nwb 110 from my Coralife 65
My magicians perished after I got paranoid and dipped them in a 4:1 ratio fresh:h202 dip. So with my sump parts I'm ordering some coral rx. Should be making a frag rack this week when I can get to a friends house. I'm thinking the back right corner until I can get a light for the open chamber in my sump. Looking into a rapidled par 38 full spectrum bulb.
On the plus side I found a tiny single magician polyp (baby sized) on a chip of the frag plug they came on that is doing good so I glued the chip to the plug and am now waiting for it to grow. Going to start playing with my point and shoot to see if I can get some good macro shots of my reef.
Got silicone and glass baffles for the sump today. Also ordered all of my plumbing parts to finish the sump from foster and smith. Should have the sump running and the tank on the new stand next week.
First time working with silicone. I has to let the middle bubble trap set before removing the wood blocks supporting it but I do have all my baffles in now, just no picture. The plumbing parts and overflow should be here Wednesday.
I won a few more corals from the same seller on ebay they should all be here on Thursday.
I also made a little frag rack to hang in my tank while I wait to get lights for the sump to put a bigger frag rack in there.
I do not like FedEx smartest. My foster smith order left grove city oh 24 hours ago, it's like a 5 hour drive max, and it says it will be delivered on Thursday. I hope it gets here tomorrow so I can do the tank move and get the sump running. I would like to have my coral rx before my new frags are delivered Thursday.
ive got 10 gallons of salt mixing in a spare tank with a hob filter for the sump tomorrow. i also have a big tub to pull the live rock out and keep it in there while moving the tank. i think i'm going to use a 5 gallon bucket of tank water to rinse my rock in by swishing it around before placing it back in my tank. hopefully this whole process won;t take too long.
Love the aqua scape, very simple yet a lot of real estate. I know how you feel about over nights, I started at 330am for a while until I got promoted, start at 6 now and work longer hours but I don't have much time for my tank now
Thank you. I wasn't expected it to be the same as before, because one thing I've learned is it never will be just like it was when moving rocks around.
Corals are starting to open. I'll get my eBay frags tomorrow by 10:30 am and use my new coral rx to dip them before putting them in the tank. Next check I am getting salt, I think I am going to go with red sea pro.
Overnights are just waiting on me. Its the worst shift at work. I volunteered to do it when the other overnight manager quit because no one else would do it and it was "until we find someone else to do it." a year later I'm still doing it lol.
