Ugh. That’s aweful. Don’t beat yourself up too much. S happens sometimes.

Thanks. The rest of the group are doing well this morning so I'll keep pushing forward on the QT procedure. 21 days of CP and I'll perform another waterchange (more carefully) to remove all meds, add carbon to filter, and plug in UV to start the observation period before adding to the DT. I'm thinking and additional 2 weeks of observation to be sure. I've seen no obvious signs of ich or velvet since getting them (just minor flashing from one of the butterflies (one that died actually). The one that died was also not as strong of an eater so maybe it was in a weaker state and part of why it got sucked up to the hose. I'll just be more careful with water changes going forward and call this a learning experience.Ugh. That’s aweful. Don’t beat yourself up too much. S happens sometimes.
I think the CP from AquaAlgae is effective. I treated 6 fishes of different species with it and all survived. They went thru TTM+Prazi, CP and GC(in food w Focus), the only visual symptoms that I could observe was white stringy poop during QT. I also noticed initial loss of appetite during CP treatment. About a week ago I picked up a sharknose neon goby from Petco that had some white spots which I diagnosed as Ich and I used it to test the CP. So far all spots are gone and the fish is doing well after one week and feeding. All dosage of CP was at 60mg/gal. I hope this is helpful and I'll post more on the neon goby. I will pick up more sick fish to test the CP but it will be a couple weeks from now since all my 4 QT tanks are in use.@Manthanol What were your thoughts on the CP. Im thinking about ordering from the same person you did
Dang, 4 QT tanks! I'm pushing it at my house with 2+2DT. Ultimately I'm backing down to 1QT and 1DT but I keep finding fish before my main QT is ready for them and set another up. Just set up the old Biocube yesterday to start QT on a fish being delivered Tuesday.I think the CP from AquaAlgae is effective. I treated 6 fishes of different species with it and all survived. LOL Sounds like Deja Vu, I too kept on finding great deals before my QT fish was ready to move out so I kept getting more tanks. I must have a great guardian angel because I'm still married ...Dang, 4 QT tanks! I'm pushing it at my house with 2+2DT. I get mine from Ed @

I have never had an issue using CP from Ed. Maybe just got lucky with some healthy fish. But Ed is well known in the Clownfish scene and does have some amazing connections. I have done lots of business with him. I trust him and the stuff he sells.
Price looks great, my only reservation is CP has no test available to us to verify purity or actual concentration. If I could not get pharmaceutical grade CP then I would probably stick with copper. I have no reason to doubt this vendor, but they are limited by the same lack of testing that we are.
Understood- but my ‘free’ scooter blenny won’t last long in copper, and TTM alone is inadequate when potential for velvet infection exists
Problem is the blennies are typhoid Marys. With the thick mucous coat, they could harbor pathogens for months without showing symptoms.
Someone suggested doing a round of cp then observation, then putting a sacrificial damsel in as a check. Do not like that idea in the least
