I added a 3" Yellow Coris Wrasse, and 2 Mexican Turbo Snails to the tank today. The Yellow Coris Wrasse was out swimming and eating within 5 minutes of adding it to the tank, but my Mystery Wrasse started going nuts and chasing it around. So I shut the lights off early. Hopefully everyone will relax and get along tomorrow when the lights come back on.

Also, I dosed the tank with Interceptor, and will follow up with 2 more doses each a week apart.

I wanted to get a mystery wrasse but most of the threads I read from people that had them said they had trouble keeping any other wrasse with them.

The milli frags that I got from you are doing well and they are on my *** rack at the top of the tank with high flow.

I love those Picasso Clowns, they have some really nice coloring.

That 30k Lokani is nice, love the deep dark color to it.

Nope, they were all over my Maricultured Green Acropora Millepora/Tenuis/Vermiculata when I pulled it out to inspect it the other day. Upon further investigation, I found them on a number of other corals as well. Which hopefully will explain my recent decline in color that I have been noticing.

Here is a picture from the other day. I really started to notice a decline in its health about a week ago.

So I hit the tank last night, and hopefully will notice a positive reaction out of the corals soon.

Thanks Paul. Yeah I heard that Mystery Wrasses were usually the victims though, I hadn't heard of them being aggressive. A friend of mine has one, and has had to remove a few wrasses that have picked on it. He said whenever he adds anything to the tank, it hides for like 24hrs regardless of what the addition is.

Glad to hear the milli frags are doing well, I actually am hoping to add a blue millepora colony soon to my tank.

The Picasso's are starting to grow on me. The black on the female is really starting to fill in, which really makes her look sharp.

I LOVE the 30k Lokani. The guy I got it from just picked up a 4" x 4" colony of it, and the little piece I got broke off in the bag during transport. I hope I can keep the color nice, the mother colony is beautiful!

TJ, my tank is doing the same with the exception of corals changing color. My rock has been attacked by a variety of algaes. It looks just like yours. Scrubbing the rocks do it no good, I just scrape/pull off what I can and keep doing my routine water changes. It appears to be on the downside, but I am still awaiting some miracles. I was thinking maybe the salt(reef crystals), as I read on RC that some people were having problems with it. Good luck, and post if you find a cure and I will do the same

That's good to hear everything is doing well.

As far as the nuisance algae goes... lately it looks like the bubble algae has slowly dying off and giving way for some light colored hair algae. So I'm not sure if it's just algae cycles or what at this point. Either way I don't intend to wait around to find out, and plan on getting proactive. That red turf stuff is insane though. It rode in a small frag plug, and went bananas in the tank. I'm actually about to begin a Vodka/Bacteria dosing system to try and combat the algae. I have a thread on another forum which I plan on updating my plan/progress step by step, but will also updated here occasionally with my results.

The products I will be using are:

- Brightwell Aqautics Microbacter 7
- Brightwell Aquatics CoralAmino
- Kent Marine Lugol'd Solution
- 80 proof Vodka

Attempted to get the Canary Wrasse out of the tank today using this style trap. The only difference is that I used a 20 oz water bottle instead.

I wanted to remove him from the display. So I shot some food in the bottle with a turkey baster to lure him in. It ended up only taking about 5 minutes to catch him because he's such a pig.

I removed him because I didn't want to use FW Exit on the tank initially (just because the whole process is a major PITA). He really didn't dent their population, so I ended up having to use FW Exit anyway. Now that the FW's are basically gone, I really don't need him in the tank anymore. Also, my female Mystery Wrasse HATES him, and was constantly chasing him around the tank. I figured it was only a matter of time until one of them ended up on the floor.

I need to get a tang....some nuissance algea is getting out of control in my tank, and it's taken root on the rocks, so trimming it isn't doing anything but disseminating it all through the tank.

wow you tank is amazing!!! i love the bird of paradise coral. picassos look great, i have one, after three months its has a lot of black coloration on the shoulders and around the white rim
