ULM cubicle peninsula

So what was the response when you asked about having an aquarium and did they understand what you mean when you asked? ;Hilarious

Sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission ;)

Didn't want to deal with filter socks and I wanted a quick way to get chaeto out!

IMG_5666.JPG

I'll put filter floss, marine pure blocks and carbon/chemipure

Chaetomax light will go on back wall and chaeto will go in this media rack

Aquascape ideas

I’m a big fan of minimal scapes and plenty of room for fish to swim

Meh...

Better meh...

I think I’ll grab another rock to give a little more height plus another small rock for a little island

I like what you did with the arch and the whole idea of having a fish tank in the office! Nice job

Problem #1- Fixed!

Would you considering downsizing to the IceKap 1K gyre?
Great solution.

The only issue is the media rack in the middle chamber doesn’t allow the magnet to go too far down... so this is as low as it goes. Hopefully this will be fine.

I really like this option because I can tilt either side of the gyre to get different flow patterns.

Glad to see it worked out! I have this waiting to be utilized on my 25 lagoon but just found a crazy good deal on Craigslist for an MP10WQD for $75 so I’m torn which to use on my tank now haha.

I thought about an mp10 too. I wanted to keep everything off the glass and the mp10 just doesn’t work well if you submerge the dry side [emoji6]

Who can guess what the next step is from this picture??

Well it’s nothing special

The next step is to put the second can in top

Moved the tank to get to the back

Cut the black back off for the CheatoMax light

Now I’m worried about [emoji362] spillage into the other chambers.

I’ll probably look for some super thin sheets of black plastic to go on either baffle

Problem #2- I need suggestions!

So I have a lot to fit in a small area.
The ATK does not really fit anywhere else. It’s not a bad spot in terms of water line... but proving to be in the way for everything else.

Need to get the probes and AWC tubes into the rear chambers somehow. Any ideas?

Made some more progress

26474c2fcee63660840a0077d70caa6e.jpg

I started to mount the apex and modules up to get it programmed

Got the tank filled with RODI water and used temporary radion mounts to get the lighting schedule dialed in. Kinda thinking about swapping. These out for a single radion...

That front right rock is so bad because it such a different color purple. Annoys me.

Still need more sand and gotta figure out how to fit all the equipment I’ll probably end up making my own prob mount, ATO optical sensor bracket and dosing tube bracket

I need thoughts...‍♂️♂️ [emoji362]

While I’m building the stand... would you cycle the tank at home, then drain transport to work?

Or would you wait to cycle while in the office?

Started the fishless cycle

Threw some of this in last week with some fish food simply cause I had it lying around and I was waiting for a package

Here it is!

The only limiting factors now are the stand and the mounts for the probes

Progress! Well kinda. ClearView acrylic Tsunami lid came it today.

Not impressed with packaging. 4/10 only because the stuff inside wasn’t broken.

Happy they supplied the tool to put in the screen.

I understand why they leave on the protective screen... but man does it leave a bad first impression. Also each of these squiggly connectors had no chamfers on them, so trying to get them to mate up was quite difficult.

Honestly it looks super goofy to me. I really hate how two of the 4 sides are different thicknesses. Honestly not sure I’ll keep it because it looks so silly on this small size [emoji848]

Also they forgot to include the tubing to attach the actual screen.

But hey.... at least it fits.

Cubicle magnetic mounted radion

The radions are going to mount under a metal cabinet in my cubicle. So I found a heavy pull magnet and was able to attach it to the radion mount very easily.

Just a quick test to make sure the magnets can hold up the radions. They def can. I wasn’t surprised as they are rated for 35lbs.
