Unique Reef Aquarium Decor - Let's see it

My LFS has put the SpongeBob & Squidward Bikini Bottom houses in their tanks, and they've grown over with coralline. They're awesome, and have really inspired me. I've been thinking, and have my eye out for other odd and unique aquarium dÃ©cor. A Buddha head or large amphora might be cool. Heck almost anything covered in purple and pink corallines would looks nice, IMO. So, if you have something in your tank, unique and beautiful, PLEASE SHARE a picture.

I dove Sharks Reef once, in the Red Sea. The bottom was littered with toilet bowls. Not natural. But Poseidon, Squidward? LOL!

...egg crate, LocLine, overflows, power heads, a preponderance of BLUE, piles of rock, I'm really not sure what "natural" means to me now, now that I think about it.

I've been told by several non-reefkeeping friends that I should get a small radio controlled submarine to operate throughout the tank. As far as the unique decorations go, I am curious. I would be a little concerned about adding something nasty to the tank through leaching, however.

Do you think glazed ceramic would leach? I see lots of interesting stuff like that; Buddha heads, mermaids, and the like. I like the submarine idea, but I can testify that RC can be just as additive as reef tanks! LOL. I've always thought someone should invent a nice macro only digital camera, with the lens on a long stem - something specifically for aquariums. You'd need a white balancing feature, maybe a small led strobe. I'd buy it. I always have my eye out for interesting small glass bottles, or cups; that could serve as dÃ©cor and perhaps a feeding station. I did see another tank photo on the site that hade the Spongebob dÃ©cor. Here's the other from my LFS. At one point it had bleached out, but is coming back nicely now.

I dont remember where, but i saw a skul covered with meteor shower and it was sick looking. Kind of like a coral shaped as a skull...

The Cyphastrea-covered skull was a Crystal Head vodka bottle.

Not the kind of vodka you want to use for dosing against nitrates . . .

Funny looking back on this. My mentality on "decor" has really changed in the three years since posting. LOL

I bought ceramic skulls, a whole Bikini Bottom layout, and never used any of it. I put pennys in the skull.

My idea of "decor" now is a large Pikachu colony! My coraline encrusted MP40 impellers might be considered "decor".
